Rick Ross has expressed his desire to sign Kanye West and release his new album.
The MMG boss took to his Instagram Stories on Thursday (October 19) to put his dream of bringing Ye onto his label into the air, saying he believes they could “make history” together.
“I just had an amazing idea, a boss idea,” Rozay said in the video. “This is something that’s extremely realistic to me. We’ve created amazing masterpieces in the past.
“The boss, Ricky Rozay, I’m interested in signing Kanye West. Maybach Music. Ye, what’s up? Talk to me. Let’s make history, baby.”
After making his offer, Rick Ross played “Barry Bonds” from Kanye West’s Graduation album while driving in his car.
In another clip, he doubled down on his pitch by offering to distribute Ye’s upcoming joint album with Ty Dolla $ign and saying he has “amazing ideas” for his Yeezy brand.
“Imagine if Ye came and allowed MMG to distribute his new project,” he said. “Imagine that. What’s your favorite Rick Ross-Ye collab? Imagine that.
“Imagine the artistic drive. And I got some amazing ideas for the Yeezy brand. Let’s speak.”
Rick Ross’ offer comes shortly after it was reported that Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign are currently seeking out a distributor for their as-yet-untitled collaborative album.
The project was apparently supposed to drop on October 13, but its release has since been delayed by a few weeks. Sources close to the duo told Billboard they “will make a decision soon.”
The outlet reported that “some label leaders have passed on the opportunity to distribute the project given the antisemitic comments West began making almost exactly a year prior,” although “there are a multitude of smaller distributors in fierce competition.”
Ye’s previous deal with Def Jam — including his G.O.O.D. Music partnership — came to an end with the release of Donda in 2021. The label later distanced itself from him following his anti-Jewish tirades.
Kanye and Ty Dolla expected to debut their album at a massive concert in Italy later this month, although an exact date or location has yet to be confirmed.
Rick Ross has collaborated with Kanye West numerous times over the years, including on “Devil in a New Dress,” “Monster” and “Live Fast, Die Young.” During his appearance on HBO’s The Shop in April, Rozay recalled Ye making him to re-write his verse on “Devil in a New Dress.”
“Soon as I heard the beat, I wrote a verse right there,” Ross said. “The verse you heard ain’t what it was [when it was finished]. I wrote two to three verses right then just to let Kanye hear the vibe.
“This the first time somebody ever said Rozay, ‘I know you, you could go harder. Rozay ain’t used to that. He comes back like, ‘Rozay, you know I know you. This verse right here… And I looked at him like, ‘What? I could what?’”
Rick Ross do you really want to support someone like Kanye with clear antisemitic views, especially with what is currently happening in the Middle East? Shut up dude before you put yourself into something you aren’t prepared to really deal with!
STFU and get you some business. Society is doomed when facts get u pussies butthurt.

barry Bonds is hard…..pause
Yo im getting tired of you culty ass Kanye fans deleting my comments. He is a black man that hates himself which makes him a fucking c00n. How hard is that to see!?
I like Ross, but MMG is not a distributor. And it aint a “music group” either- its an imprint. A music “group” is terminology for one of the now just 3 remaining majors (Universal, Sony & Warner) that has several labels/sub-labels under it.
MMG will be affected negatively if Ye should join them. Dude’s like a moth to a flame. What a bad decision, RR.
Kanye has more money and better artists on his own label
