The holiday season is extra special this year for Rich the Kid and Tori Brixx as the “New Freezer” rapper popped the question on Thursday (December 26). Tori’s response received criticism on social media as she didn’t really say yes but she confirmed the engagement on Instagram.
Rich proposed to Tori at a family and friends dinner sharing the moment through posts on his Instagram. “Baby I love you so much. I cannot wait any longer. I don’t know what else to say,” he told his longtime girlfriend before showing her the massive diamond ring. Tori looked overcome with excitement and can barely get any words out as cheers from their friends and family fill the restaurant.
“OMG I’m excited, a little nervous, I’m feeling so many feelings at once I can’t explain it,” Tori wrote in the captions of her own post on Instagram. “I Love you sooo much & I’m so happy that we got to share this moment with all of our family, & friends. We’ve been through so much but we always figure out a way to get through it together, & that’s what it all about. You’re everything & more.”
The engagement comes a week after Rich and Tori were involved in a heated argument that was streamed on his Instagram live. In the live stream, Tori asks Rich to turn the down music and he responded by telling her to “shut the fuck up.” He even called her a bitch and shoved her into a room at one point.
Soon after, Rich issued a public apology to the mother of his child on Instagram saying “My life is everything with you & nothing without, I love you more than anything on earth I want to sincerely apologize for my behavior this weekend I was either drunk or high but that still does not excuse it. I would never disrespect my wife in any way or any day I can only treat with utmost respect for being the women Of my dreams & the best mother to our child.”
