Real Boston Richey has spoken out in defense of his use of an incest lyric connected to his cousin during his recent XXL Freshman cypher.

The Freebandz rapper came under fire when the controversial freestyle bar went viral earlier this week and he was excoriated for it across social media. “Always been a freaky jit, trying to fuck my cousin under the covers,” the “Bullseye 2” artist rapped.

Richey heard the criticism and doubled down on his bars regarding his desire to have sexual relations with his cousin while growing up. “Lie and say yeen try to hunch yo cousin wit clothes on as a child ugly ass jit,” he tweeted on Monday night (July 17).

The Florida native appeared in the XXL cypher alongside fellow 2023 Freshmen Fridayy, Finesse2Tymes and Lola Brooke.

The line immediately caused a stir online, with many fans left in disbelief at what they heard. “Real Boson Richey tried to do WHAT to his cousin,” questioned one Twitter user, while another wrote: “Did Real Boston Richey just admit to trying to smash his cousin? Hes a sicko.”

“This was HORRIBLE!” a third person remarked. “And whose man’s is Boston Richeys? He was saying some off the wall stuff.”

Real Boston Richey is surprisingly not the first rapper to pridefully admit to hooking up with their cousin. Kevin Gates made headlines last July when he said he knowingly slept with his cousin after finding out they were related.

In an interview with Yung Miami on her Caresha Please podcast, the City Girls rapper asked him point blank: “Did you really fuck your cousin?”

Gates recalled his grandmother pulling him aside three months into their relationship and telling him: “Baby, that’s your cousin.” But the Baton Rouge native evidently didn’t care and continued dating the woman for three years, adding: “I ain’t about to stop!”
