Rap Release Dates: Tech N9ne, Nappy Roots, 9th Wonder, Cormega

Bad news first: As previously reported, Yelawolf will be dropping Radioactive on October 25th instead of September 27th. It seems as though Yela started the domino effect of album moves, because this week the pushback news flooded in. Bow Wow was supposed to drop Underrated on November 1st. Now the YMCMB affiliate will release his project a month later on December 6th. In the limbo world, Big K.R.I.T. was scheduled to drop Live From the Underground on September 27th. Now K.R.I.T. has announced his project will be dropped sometime in 2012. Swizz Beatz was supposed to drop Haute Living today (September 13th), but with no promo or recent singles, it looks like that too is a no-go. Finally, Young Jeezy’s TM103, schedule for a September 20th release, has been moved to who knows when. His mixtape “The Real Is Back 2” has dropped though (listen here and read the review here). Maybe when rappers say Dr. Dre inspired them, they took that a little too far (Detox anyone?)

So now for some good news. Tech N9ne announced that his collaboration album Welcome To Strangeland will arrive on November 8th (check out the first track “Beautiful Music” with Krizz Kaliko). Tech works hard, since All 6’s and 7’s didn’t drop too long ago. Before that, Casey Veggies will re-issue his album Sleeping In Class on September 20th now that the buzz is building. A week later, Evidence will drop Cats and Dogs September 27th, along with 9th Wonder’s The Wonder Years, J. Cole and Pusha T, and new entry Nappy Roots with Nappy Dot Org (produced entirely by Organized Noize). That’s as far as we’ll go with album news this week, since everything keeps changing.

You did a story on the album, hiphopdx should know it’s release date. C’mon son, you put “hollywood floss” on there, has that dude won a grammy? Where’s the “hiphop” in your DX???

    5. i stilll can’t believe how much attention Tech is getting. 2 years ago he wouldn’t have even been mentioned in this headline now he’s the main focus. crazy.

      1. An official album is never going to materialize, how long have we been waiting for ”The Psychic World Of Walter Reed”? Three years at least?
