Houston rap patriarch and business mogul J Prince has seemingly endless financial wealth dating back to the mid-1980s.
On Tuesday (April 13), the 54-year-old Rap-A-Lot Records founder and CEO revealed his latest power move on Instagram, announcing he’d bought his own private island.
J. Prince showed off the island to his 597,000 followers in a short video with a caption that read, “They told me I was dreaming too big.”
The clip doesn’t show his face, but the camera’s vantage point is from someone on a jet ski gliding over clear shallow waters driving toward the remote island titled “Prince Island No. 1” with a sprawling white mansion on the property.
The video also displayed multiple sentences that pop up in sequential order along the jet skit’s route.
“They said it couldn’t be done,” it read. “They told me I was dreaming too big. They told me I was crazy. They told me it was impossible. Now I done made the impossible, possible. Prince Island No. 1. Loyalty for life.”
J. Prince remains active in the rap industry as a manager and author. In January, rising artist and Alabama native Honeycomb Brazy released the visual for his single “Dead People,” which features Prince driving him in a white Rolls-Royce. Brazy acknowledged in the song’s lyrics he’s the protégé of the Houston OG.
Prince also single-handedly ended the rap beef between Drake and Pusha T in 2018, one of Hip Hop’s biggest stories in the past few years.
That same year, he released his memoir, The Art Of Science Of Respect, about his early life, becoming a street kingpin in his 20s, his rise in the music industry and backstories involving himself and a litany of Hip Hop legends.
Still a Cornball tho
He’ll get you off’d with one phone call from said private island. Whites.
Oh yeah?
Ehh, still a Cornwall.
Also, not white. Try again
You’re obviously under 17. Shouldn’t you be studying for a test?
I’m under 17? Yet, you’re the one looking up to a cornball as an idol lmao
Try again.
So you’re a mature hater? Good to know.
Yet you’re the one looking up to this cornball as an idol lol
Try again.
Wtf is still saying cornball? Stop getting your slang for Urban Dictionary…
People in Queens. Come visit sometime
He didn’t end the beef.
Why the “1st”? It is his first. I guess you are referring to the possibility of him buying another one. But either way, it’s his first, not his “first”… journalists are weird now
Sigh. 1st is in quotes because it is a direct quote from the person who said it. Do a little more research before trying to correct someone youngster
you can have sex outside and nobody will know.
Who the fuck is ‘they’, man, stop lying. I’m happy for your success but stop faking adversity
You’re obviously 16 if you don’t know of his adversaries..
Exactly folks just like to talk/type to get likes
When you rent the property on AirBnb but try to say you bought the entire place and now own it…

J Prince is OG/revolutionary/business man…. Unfortunately as sad and I feel saying this but it’s truth, he is about as relevant to the culture as Rapalot is right now…. Ain’t no contribution to this no more with their fairy artists. Rap A Lot died when Pimp C died.
