Despite Quentin Miller and Drake’s producer Noah “40” Shebib insisting that Drake has never used Miller as ghostwriter, according to the official liner notes in the physical copy of Dreams Worth More Than Money, Miller is not credited for his contribution on “R.I.C.O.,” as reported by Complex.
On Friday (July 31), Hot 97 radio personality Funkmaster Flex released the reference track for “R.I.C.O.” as recorded by Quentin Miller.
In the beginning of the “R.I.C.O.” reference track, Miller raps, “Old ways, new women, gotta keep a balance / The girl of your dreams to me is probably not a challenge / I’ve been counted out so many times, I couldn’t count it,” including a few other bars that are similar to Drake’s track, suggesting Miller has ghostwritten for the Toronto rapper.
It is uncertain if Quentin Miller has written for Drake on other songs to which he’s been uncredited for.
Drizzy unleashed his answer to Meek Mill’s claims that he doesn’t write his own raps on wax in the form of two diss tracks, “Charged Up” and “Back To Back Freestyle.”
Four days later, Meek Mill responded with his own diss track, “Wanna Know,” on Hot 97 which includes the reference track recorded by Quentin Miller for the If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late cut, “Know Yourself.”

For all we know this could just be a demo “singer” track, for lyrics which were written by Drake while he was doing something else and he couldn’t hit up the studio. That stuff happens for all the big acts Hip Hop or otherwise, especially when you’re on tour and have no time. How do you think people tour 340 days of year and drop professionally mixed albums every year?

The big tipoff that Quentin is not a ghostwriter or main contributor to Drake, is no one gets paid $5k a month, to write entire songs and albums that make millions. Writers or “Ghostwriters” get paid way more than $5k a month for an act that is making millions.
