Drake: “I Haven’t Taken A Loss All Week”

As part of the festivities surrounding his OVO Fest, which is taking place this weekend, Drake participated in a game of kickball against LeBron James in Toronto, Canada.

Bleacher Report captured some footage of Drake warming up before the game and asked if he was ready for his Team OVO to lose against LeBron’s Team Klutch.

“Listen man, like you said, I haven’t taken a loss all week,” Drake says, seemingly referencing his highly publicized rift with Meek Mill.

In addition, Drake can be seen wearing an OVO t-shirt that sports the cover art for one of his new singles, “Charged Up.”

      1. on what planet? tweet mills older, more succesful woman done used ghostwriters and his boss is the biggest fraud in hip-hop history, he cant say shit

    1. He ain’t lying. Haters please…..all of you know damn well Drake 2 pieced that gorilla nigga on wax and the internet (fans & the media ) finished him off. Case closed lol.

      1. Media + fans have been dickriding so hard its a joke. The only excuse y’all have is calling the non drake fans “haters” lol. Y’all got your heads so far up drakes ass its silly at this point.

      1. Do the world a favor and kill yourself for that. You’re a dickrider for putting drake number 1 over those other artist who are clearly better.

      2. @droop in your opinion. Why is he not dickriding Ghost when there are clearly rappers in my opinion that should push Ghost out of the top 20? You fucking asshole. Suicide isn’t some bullshit to throw around over being a Drake fan you fucking cunt.

    2. Hmm, Wes wearing the “Charged Up” shirt. Does that mean he’ll be half asleep while playing kickball?

    3. This is one of the many reasons why I love Drake. He’s smart, sassy and he’s always one step ahead. Drake would never lose a battle to anyone, because he knows that perception is reality and he knows how to pick battles. He knows how to market himself and his brand better than anyone. His punchlines are also very underrated, and are way better than Meek’s. He’s always been the wittier emcee, even going back to 2006. In theory, rhyme skills should always win a battle, but timing and remaining cool in the heat of battle go a long way in shaping public perception. Meek comes across like a whiny Twitter bitch. OVO all day, everyday.

      1. Replying to a question like that with “I haven’t taken a loss all week” is a sassy response, so too is wearing a Charged Up T-shirt with a smirk on your face. You don’t even need the real dictionary to know that sassy is an appropriate term here. Shit even urban dictionary would agree. You are immature dumbasses, if you are hung up on an adjective that’s being used properly.

    4. hilarious how haters cant take it and making excuses. Pre-Drake’s diss they were so confident that the great battle rapper Meek would manhandle cornball Drake. Instead, he got bodied by soft singing nikka. damn…now they saying Drake targeted an unskilled MC but no one says that re: Eminem vs Benzino. Admit it folks, u underestimated Drake. The great MCs always break new regions. Outkast/Scarface/NWA. When they break international, what u expect? he aint got skills. gtfoh

      1. hilarious how if you had that much faith in the lord to write paragraphs and testify in church, you wouldn’t be on the internet praising a man who’s willing to do anything to take your money. but carry on confused soul

      2. @cd. Here are a list of lyricists who are well-documented to have had verses written for them. Ghostface Killah, Nas, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Roxanne Shante, Queen Latifa, ODB, Jay-Z (no hard evidence with Jay-Z but he has takin so many biggie verses, its almost criminal and beyond just homage..also Lupe was a ghostwriter on Black Album according to many)…shall I go on? Did you actually listen to the RICO version in Quentin Miler’s reference track vs Drake’s final version. 2 and 1/2 bars are the same – thats it. Besides that it is the hook…Meek is a fool making a claim like Drake doesnt write his lyrics based on two lines for this song. just a silly accusation.
and now his career is probably over. I dont know how anyone gonna wanna be seen playing Meek who go bodied by a singing nigga

      3. @bang…meek died.

Actually out of the dudes you listed Jay-Z uses the most credited writers, the hard evidence is in his liner notes but until now no one considered a credited writer a ghostwriter.

      4. u scribe yet another throwaway bible book of drake yet don’t tell me anything new. u even trying to go as far as saying verbal sampling is the same as ghostwriting to a person with an ascap card. i give drake props for even giving that boy points for his work because others woulda robbed him, we’ve heard many and plenty of stories over the years. the point here is how y’all so high off that red pill ya making up stories and excuses and it’s disgusting. them 2 songs are not better than that man’s 1 song. but y’all have at this everyday slurpfest, he ain’t inviting u to no kickball games

    5. Drake fans make so many excuses for this dude. If youre a fan the be a fan but don’t dickride a nigga like a groupie. Real talk drake got more male groupies than actual fans. Fans will at least admit when drake comes weak but the groupies will talk as if drake was the next coming of Christ even putting drake over artist like nas and 2pac. Y’all groupies are bringing down hip hop to the lowest point it has even been. There iis no more competition or creativity anymore you know why? Because you have groupies who will swallow up anything that comes out of their favorite artists mouths even if its wack as fuck. Hip hop has lost everything that made it hip hop and has become the new WWE all thanks to the listeners.

      1. It’s not even about being a Drake fan..it’s about being a fan of Hip Hop..If you are a fan of the competitive nature of a diss record, you would say “Drake won Meek lost as simple as that. Just like I would say Takeover was a better diss record than Ether-And I’m a Nas Fan ..

      2. @ droop. can u guys hating on Drake just admit Drake did right in this battle? The problem is Drake fans may be relentless, sure but so are Drake haters. Even when Drake murders Meek, they still frontin. if you fair, admit the truth: Drake did a good battle win..you may not like the dude but he won a battle fair in sqaure and proved his skill…and another thing: still hanging on to this ghostwriting thing is also more BS. Quentin Miller claims himself he didnt ghostwrite. If you listen to RICO, for instance, and a bunch of these so-called reference tracks..they arent the same as all the actual versesput on the finalized tracks – there is a few lines and mostly hooks here and there. Big deal. All the so-called rappers have taken hooks or suggestions. In fact, all these ghostwriting accusations are in line with stuff Nas had to deal with. Its even well-documented that with Nas’ untouchable Illmatic, Large profressor edited Nas’ lyrics. Nas straight admitted it. Other stories of collaboraters with reference tracks for Untitled is also well-known. Claims have been made against Jay-Z also. Ghostface had verses written for him by Method Man….shall i go on. If you hate Drake, hate Drake. Dont listen to his music but just admit he makes his own brand of music and does his thing. if you hate him, u never thought he was lyrical wordsmith before this,so why now acting like he QM is some genius behind the fray? If you dont like Drake’s music to start and thought he was overrated, why now is he some kinda fake messiah? just saying..,

    6. Quentin Miller hasn’t taken a loss all week….I think that’s what Drake’s implying. Who wrote Charged up and the other diss track he released? I’m very curious to know…

      1. So, what your implying is you can never use a credited writer because everyone will think they wrote all of your shit. You really need to take a look at Jay Z’s liner notes.

    7. Even Gunplay saying Meek need to humble himself and be appreciative for everything he got right now and not be worrying about another nicca.

    8. LMFAO!

So you think you didn’t take a loss at all huh? So the fact that people are currently aware of you using ghostwriters and reference tracks makes no difference huh? Sounds like your either delusional or very worried about your position in the culture. People take pride in the process of making music. You have now showed your hand in a negative light brother. Good luck.

      1. Drake gonna keep moving units regardless. And you know this. You know Drakes tracks were better than Meeks. Ahem “You know, you actin like you don’t know”. 50 ghostwrote that shit for me.

      2. Nope, the only person that took a L is you. If you think Drake is the first or last rapper to use a credited writer you’re fucking stupid and never read the liner notes of pretty much any hip hop album ever put out. Where’s outrage your outrage Jay-Z, 50 cent, Dr Dre, Snoop using credited writer years before Meek turned you on to the fact that Drake also uses credited writers?

      3. Rico – If you think Jay-Z does that then your clearly have no idea. Yes Dre has done it but he is mainly a producer then rapper. Your wrong buddy, you may think its okay because you live home with your mommy but I’m telling you it’s not. Industry people are now talking about this topic and it’s not looking good for your boy.

Meek Stay Yellin – Yeah Drakes track was better but who helped him write it?

    9. This dude must be on drugs! “I didnt take a loss all week”? Lol The whole woeld put you on blast for being a fuckin fraud. Thats pretty big L if you ask me lol

    10. This dude must be on drugs! “I didnt take a loss all week”? Lol The whole world put you on blast for being a fuckin fraud. Thats pretty big L if you ask me lol

    11. Rico says every hip hop album ever put out has ghost writers. Bro! Drake fuckin sucks. The sooner you come to grips with it the sooner you can come back to reality with the rest of us lol

    12. You know when people sample records there credited in the liner notes as a composer though not a writer you dumb ass people

    13. Yeah cause Biz Markie and Slick Rick and Q-Tip wrote Girls,Girls,Girls for Jay-Z huh? Lol fuckin lame ass people on here man

    14. When ppl say everyone uses a ghostwriter im convinced your under 16 and dont know shyt about rap. If you think the legends Jay,big, pac, nas etc. had ghostwriters go kill yourself. The dudes who had ghost writers were all producers trying to rap so yea they need help with the exception of eazy E who was a real gang banger. Shyt was entertaining tho since its the only major beef but they both had week bars. U gotta be disrespectful on a another level no filters they battling like they aint wanna lose there sponsors.
