Pusha T has had his share of detractors over the years, but he sleeps comfortably watching them make moves he never would stoop to.
In a conversation with GQ published on Tuesday (August 14), the Virginia native shared his observations of the people he’s had beef with.

“When you look at who’s the talker and you look at what they’ve done and who they are and what they offer to you, it’s funny,” he began. “I’ve been in this game for a minute, and I’ve watched the game, and I’ve watched people at their highs and at their lows. And, mind you, most people are chasing things I’ve never chased in Hip Hop.”
He continued: “I’ve never chased hit records. I’ve never chased anything but having incredible albums. So I’m not even surprised at the way people speak about me or whatever the case may be right now. It’s like I’m watching these guys panic. You know what I’m saying? They’re all panicking and then they’re trying to figure out, ‘Wait a minute, how is this guy turning the corner and I’m not?’”

“It’s funny to watch,” Push concluded. “It’s my reassurance that I’m doing everything correctly,” adding “I’m not even shit-talking. It’s like the real truth, man. They’ll do things I’ll never do.”
The conversation arrives just a few weeks after Drake rekindled his feud with Pusha T with shots on Travis Scott’s new album UTOPIA. Produced by Coleman, BNYX, Boi-1da, Vinylz and Tay Keith, the double-sided “Meltdown” finds Drake addressing both Push and Pharrell in not-so-subliminal fashion.

“I melt down the chains that I bought from yo boss/ Give a fuck about all of that heritage shit/ Since V not around, the members done hung up the Louis/ They not even wearing that shit,” he raps.
Drake appears to be referencing the custom chains that Pharrell auctioned off last year, which Drizzy was later seen wearing in his “Jumbotron Shit Poppin” video.
The jewelry, which totaled a cool $3.3 million, included a 14K three-tone N.E.R.D pendant chain, a white gold brain pendant chain and a skateboard pendant chain.

“V,” meanwhile, is a nod to Virgil Abloh, the late fashion icon who Pharrell succeeded at Louis Vuitton following his death.
Later in his verse, the OVO Sound hitmaker raps: “You lucky that ‘Vogue’ was suing/ ‘Cause I would’ve been with the Wassas in Paris and shit.”
This appears to be a warning shot aimed at Skateboard P and Pyrex P, who were both in the French capital in June for the former’s debut Louis Vuitton fashion show.
At the same show, Pusha T seemingly had some bars for Jim Jones on a new Clipse track, after Capo had thrown shade at Push earlier in the year by saying he doesn’t deserve to be on a Top 50 list.

“Beware of my name, that there’s delegate/ You know I know where you’re delicate/ Crush you to pieces, I’ll hum a breath of it/ I will close your heaven for the hell of it/ You think it’d be valor amongst veterans/ I’m watching your fame escape relevance/ We all in a room but here’s the elephant/ You chasing a feature out of your element,” Pusha raps on the track, seemingly accusing Jones of cuddling up to his nemesis Drake in order to get a guest verse.
He continues: “And those lab diamonds under inspection/ The question marks block your blessings/ It’s no tombstones in the desert/ I know by now you get the message.”
