Playboi Carti is back with more new tunes ahead of his I AM MUSIC album, dropping off his latest track “EVILJ0RDAN.”
Carti hasn’t taken his foot off the gas since the start of 2024 as the song and video arrived on Tuesday (January 16) via his Opium label’s Instagram page. His array of new tracks are yet to hit streaming services.

This latest song finds the Atlanta native invading Cardo and Johnny Juliano’s twitchy, thumping 808 production with a short-of-breath flow.
“This not a rockstar phase/ I’m an emo-thug in my face,” he raps before receiving some help from DJ Swamp Izzo. “Disrespect the 5, I put your ass in the food chain.”

The accompanying music video is shot in what appears to be Carti’s mansion. He can be seen rocking Hood By Air and a fur coat while sipping from a Hello Kitty mug and showing off a Mr. Bungle vinyl.

Playboi Carti has even more new music on the way, which he teased for fans if they run up the “EVILJ0RDAN” numbers.
“RUN IT UP ILL DROP AGAIN ON YVES,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories.

Although his world tour has been delayed, I AM MUSIC appears to be on the horizon and the agonizing wait shouldn’t be much longer for fans. Carti’s last album, Whole Lotta Red, arrived on Christmas Day in 2020.
King Vamp began the album rollout last month with previous singles including the Kanye West-produced “2024,”“Backr00ms” featuring Travis Scott, “H00DBYAIR” and “Different Day.”
“Backr00ms” even found Carti shooting his shot at Ice Spice as he rapped: “I think I need me a Ice Spice, yeah I want me a munch.”
In response, the “Princess Diana” star seemingly approved of Carti’s namedrop by reposting the song on her own IG Stories, with Carti in turn resharing her post on his own page with a heart eyes emoji.

It appears the pair also took the flirting to the DMs as Carti then posted a screenshot of a message from Ice Spice that read: “backr00ms” with a suggestive kiss mark emoji.
