Quavo Settles Dispute With Jeweler He Allegedly Assaulted

Quavo and Eric The Jeweler have made amends following an alleged altercation at a Grammys after-party on January 28. Eric announced the two were on good terms in an Instagram post, which featured a picture of himself and the Migos rapper together.

“Just for the record since the media likes to put things in their own words and elevate things that aren’t really true to another level, I am not suing or pressing charges against @quavohuncho the media got it all twisted it was all just a big misunderstanding,” he wrote. “We are on good terms and back to conducting business as usual! #EricTheJeweler.”

Quavo was accused of assault and robbery, which reportedly resulted from a dispute over a $10,000 debt. According to TMZ’s sources, Quavo settled the situation by taking care of the debt owed to the jeweler.

Quavo has an imminent arrest warrant looming over his head following an alleged assault at a Grammys after-party in New York City last month, according to TMZ.

The publication reports that detectives with the New York Police Department have informed Quavo’s lawyer, Drew Findling, that they have gathered enough evidence to arrest the Migos rapper.

During the early hours of January 29, a verbal altercation between Quavo and Eric The Jeweler — a famed Hip Hop designer — allegedly turned physical.

Eric suffered minor injuries and his $30,000 chain went missing during the melee. He subsequently filed a report for assault and robbery.

It later emerged that the altercation broke out over money Offset, not Quavo, allegedly owed Eric The Jeweler — to the sum of $10,000.

Quavo’s lawyer tells TMZ his client is innocent, saying, “This is yet another example of a young African-American hip hop star potentially being treated unfairly by the criminal justice system.”

Findling adds that he hopes the NYPD and the Manhattan District Attorney’s office don’t “embarrass themselves” by arresting and charging Quavo.
