NLE Choppa Honors The Death Of Unborn Son With Emotional ‘Gender Reveal’ Song

NLE Choppa and his girlfriend Marissa Da’Nae revealed On Saturday (March 5) that they had lost their unborn son, Seven, in a miscarriage.

“Talking bout this is so hard,” Da’Nae wrote alongside a photo of NLE Choppa on Instagram. “But with Bryson next to me and being my supporter, this has helped me more. Losing our Son is so hard for me, I couldn’t function. But he has pulled me through and I’m thankful to have you by my side and with me along this journey. There’s a lot of women who suffer the things I suffer and go through the same things I go through.”

Since the devastating loss, NLE Choppa hit the studio to pen his thoughts and air his grievances, and shared them with the world in the form of an emotional new song titled “The Gender Reveal Song.”

‘If it’s a girl, get ready for the tea parties/A girl, get ready for the pink barbies/A girl, make sure that her heart is guarded/Cause a girl, sometimes can become a target/If it’s a boy, make sure you and him play catch/If it’s a boy, make sure y’all have a talk about sex/If it’s a boy, make sure he treat a women with respect/Forgive forget never regret and protect,” Choppa raps emphatically.

The song comes after NLE Choppa dropped off his Me vs. Me mixtape in January. The tape featured appearances from G Herbo, Young Thug, Polo G and Moneybagg Yo. The album debut at No. 16 on the Billboard 200, and moved around 20,000 copies its first week, which Choppa claimed as a victory.

    1. Great condolences to NLE and his lost child. It appears he and his love share something beautiful in a generation that devalues and demotes strong black genes, classic healthy black masculinity, and black female empowerment through denigrating and marginalizing our public visage.

    2. I don’t nowhy everyone always thinks everything is a game show respect quit acting childish an being weirdos
