Winter blues are out of the way and much like the weather, New Music Friday is warming up with a number of heavy-hitters dropping new heat for fans.

The most noteworthy release of the week is Jack Harlow and Doja Cat‘s new collaboration “Just Us,” which sees the two stars in flirtatious form. The accompanying video is also likely to generate a meme or two.

Jack Harlow feat. Doja Cat — “Just Us”

Produced By: Hollywood Cole, Tay Keith, Angel “BabeTruth” Lopez, Ojivolta & Dylan Graham

Jack Harlow is once again making a bid for chart supremacy with some help from Doja Cat and a cameo-heavy video featuring appearances from Hollywood A-lister Matt Damon, soft rocker John Mayer and pop princess PinkPantheress. It’s the type of radio-friendly rap we’ve become accustomed to from Jiggy Jack.

Lil Durk feat. Jhene Aiko — “Can’t Hide It”

Produced By: Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat, Hakz, Saint Mino, Matty Michna & Aidan Crotinger

Lil Durk may be behind bars on very serious murder charges, but that has not derailed plans for his upcoming album Deep Thoughts, which will now drop on March 28. Most fans would not have expected their first taste of the project to be a tender ballad featuring Jhené Aiko and some of Durk’s most intimately revealing lyrics to date.

Wale — “Blanco”

Produced By: Red Vision

Wale is also exploring more of his darker side on his latest single “Blanco,” which openly discusses his issues with alcohol dependency and the pressures of fame. An unexpected but rewarding turn from the veteran MC.

NAV & Metro Boomin — “Real Me”

Produced By: Metro Boomin & NAV

NAV and Metro have been teasing a follow-up to 2017’s Perfect Timing for the best part of a year without dropping any actual music, but a first single is finally here. “Real Me” is the type of trap/R&B hybrid that you would expect from the singer-producer duo.

Wiz Khalifa & Luh Tyler — “Blindfold”

Produced By: Sledgren

Wiz Khalifa has been scoring points with old heads of late by stripping back his style to pure bars. And while “Blindfold” is more commercial than other recent drops, it continues to serve as a reminder that the Pittsburgh native was always a better rapper than he was given credit for.

Moneybagg Yo — “Close the Door”

Produced By: David Morse & Skywalker OG

Moneybagg Yo may have surprised fans with his drastic weight loss, but he is unlikely to win over any new fans with his new single “Close the Door.” It’s another iteration of his melodic Memphis style, though he is let down by some clichéd production.
