New Music Friday: New Albums From Tee Grizzley, Rich Homie Quan, Victoria Monét & More

New Music Friday might be lacking big names on the albums front this week, but there is no shortage of quality as Tee Grizzley returns with Post Traumatic, his most complete project yet.

There’s also a sad reminder that Rich Homie Quan was taken from us too soon as his first posthumous album arrives.

Toosii continues to build momentum as one of the younger generation’s most exciting artists with the release of his latest project Jaded, while there are some deluxe releases from two of the best singers in the game, Sampha and Victoria Monét.

Rome Streetz and Daringer also combine to create a street classic, with Leon Bridges offering the opposite vibe with his angelic and nostalgic Leon.

See the full list of new albums below and check out this week’s New Music Friday singles featuring new songs from Lil Durk, Ferg and Future, Pharrell, JID, Benny The Butcher and more.

    Tee Grizzley — Post Traumatic

Production: Wheezy, Pi’erre Bourne, BNYX, Teddy Walton, FNZ

Post Traumatic is Tee Grizzley’s biggest and boldest album yet as he recruits an all-star stable of guest stars, further proving that he is one of the most underrated rappers in the game.

Rich Homie Quan — Forever Goin In

Featuring: 2 Chainz, Sukihana, Plies, Lil Tjay, Skilla Baby, VVSNICE, Quicktrip, DUUO,

Production: 2Tall, Drippy, Issabandoned, Firas Quick, Teezyi

The first posthumous album from the late rapper following his tragically premature death at the age of 34, Forever Goin In is stocked full, coming in at a mammoth 35 tracks. The project serves as a summation of the Atlanta star’s talents and is a sad reminder that he is gone far too soon.

Victoria Monét — Jaguar II (Deluxe)

    Featuring: Usher, Bryson Tiller, Thundercat

Production: D’Mile, Camper, Justus West, xSDTRK

    Label: Lovett Music / RCA

The R&B star follows up her Best New Artist Grammy win with an epilogue to her breakout year as a solo singer that also hints at a more daring future. Featuring a generous 10 new songs, the deluxe edition of Jaguar II finds Monét flirting with funkier sounds with hints of disco, while she also throws in a cover of the classic Sade hit “Love is Stronger Than Pride.”

    Sampha — Lahai (Deluxe)

    Featuring: Little Simz

    Production: Sampha, Kwake Bass

    Label: Young

The acclaimed British singer delivers a short but sweet update to his 2023 album Lahai with four new tracks, including a stand-out collaboration with fellow Londoner Little Simz. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait another six years for Sampha’s next project.

    Toosii — Jaded

    Featuring: Gunna, Kehlani, Muni Long

Production: Murda Beatz, Dylan Hyde, Dson Beats, Sonic, Anthoine Walters

    2. Rome Streets is on a fire streak. Even though I like both versions of Noise Kandy 5 better, he did not miss. Him and Blu are the busiest this year and they both do not miss. This is hip hop. What else not mentioned today. Daniel Son and Finn, Awon and High John, Jabee, Leon Phal and finally the restart of the Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Jazz Is Dead series. Have a nice one today folks
