Nasty Nastradamous Escobar, or whatever the hell he is calling himself these days, is bringing to a number of emcees on his December 18th album.
“Stillmatic,” Nas’ 5th LP has generated a lot of buzz for 2 reasons. One being that he will be replying to Jay-Z’s “The Takeover,” something that I think will be futile because Jay just ripped him too badly. The other is the name of the album. After releasing one of the greatest albums in hip hop history in “Illmatic,” Nas really fell off by becoming a wannabe mafioso drug lord. His next 3 albums got progressively worse and he lost a lot of his fans in the process.
This time around, Nas still has Primo, and Large Professor is back on the production tip. Nas replies to Jay-Z on “Either” where he claims things like Jay being Foxy Brown’s sex slave. Other emcess to feel the wrath are Prodigy, Cormega and Nature on “Destroy & Rebuild.”
