Nas and Jay Z’s monumental feud ended in 2005.
Nearly 10 years later, both the Queens, New York emcee and the Brooklyn mogul have moved on.
Recently, Nas was asked to reflect on his war-of-words with Jay Z in the February issue of GQ.
The rapper’s response ultimately revealed more about his respect for two fallen legends in the genre: Biggie and Pac.
“At the end of the day, the mission was to glue the game back: no more deaths,” he told GQ.
“At this point, it’s about moving on and making something out of it. Because Biggie and Pac never lived to see that. They didn’t live to see themselves grow in this game. They did so much so young, which is great, but we’d love to have them here…They were the sacrifices, the martyrs for the entire Hip Hop business.”
Nas and Jay Z’s feud ended at Power 105.1’s annual Powerhouse concert in 2005. Nas made an unexpected appearance during Jay’s closing set, ending their beef.
MTV aired a sit-down with the rappers shortly after, where they each spoke in depth about their explosive exchange.
One decade later, Nas explained to GQ that “Ether” is not a song he revisits.

The streets need it.
lmao your’e lame for even saying these absurd comments, Nas is still around making good music, FOH with that corny statement about child support, like he gets negative points for that…clowns in this site are hilarious.
@ Fuck QB, you sure you a Jay Z fan? You seem to talk about Nas a lot more.
Bruh Nas won hands down, by unanimous votes by the people he won, overall popularity of the song and buzz he won, Jay Z was on the radio the day after he heard Ether and started crying like a little Bitch. All Jay Z did in his Diss was say he fucked Nas Baby Mama and try to Clown him, in Ether Nas brought out FACTS about Jay Z, he did steal all Biggies Rhymes and use them, he did use to run to Nas when he needed help, Ether is harder because it’s the Truth about Jay Z and it hurts lol. Nas won Kid, get the nut out your eyes and wash em out so you can see the truth
