Destiny Jones, the daughter of Queens, New York rapper Nas, has just launched the Spring collection for her new lip gloss line, Lipmatic By Destiny Jones.
A play on the title of Nas’ debut album, Illmatic, news of Lipmatic’s Spring collection was revealed by Nas earlier this week via Instagram.
The musician posted a picture of his daughter Destiny and three other women modeling colors from the newly-launched collection of lipwear.
“Beautiful Ladies Everywhere!! My daughter’s New Spring Colors are out now!! Get you some @lipmatic!! GO DES! #LipMatic,” Nas said in the caption to an Instagram photo uploaded earlier this week.
During a 2012 interview with Philadelphia’s Power 99, Nas spoke on raising his daughter, Destiny at a time when digital technology reigns supreme.
“She’s a good kid,” Nas said. “With the new age, with computers, the kids get a chance to do a lot more than we did when we was teenagers. They do so much more. So the way they pop off, [that’s] the way they bring attention to they whole thing…And part of it is our fault. They see what’s going on in the entertainment business, in show business, so the internet gives them a way to act like they’re in that game now. They can feel like they can talk to the world through the internet, so everybody’s doing all kinds of mess on the internet.”
