Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire Signs To Universal Republic

    Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire has officially signed to Universal Republic.

    According to Billboard.com, the Brooklyn, New York rapper has inked a deal to release future albums on the imprint. He has built an impressive buzz over the past year, releasing his breakout sophomore mixtape Lost in Translation in September 2011.

    eXquire came close to quitting rap before, speaking with HipHopDX about wanting to exit the game twice. “I don’t know. It was just kinda like, ‘I’m not gon’ give up,’ I guess. I’d found something that I loved to do and it wasn’t that easy to stop. But I was like Lost In Translation was gonna be my last one. Like, ‘I’m serious this time, I’ma do this one and I ain’t gonna do no more.’ I think most artists are conflicted and going back and forth between what’s accepted and going against the grain and persuing your dreams.”

    1. Ha and the ymcmb fans said this dude was s bum and wouldn’t get a deal. This niggas nice as fuck. I can’t wait till he drop an album.

    2. Hope he likes the bench. Especially with a name like that.

      Niggas still signing to major labels in 2012 are beyond foolish. These industry crackers always go back on their word, push back release dates, underpromote, undership, leak albums, and blackball artists they don’t like. Modern day slave plantation.

      Either start your own label or don’t even bother. With the internet at your fingertips, there is no excuse anymore. {{-_-}}

    3. Time to draw SLAVE on your face like Prince did back then.

      Why the fuck this guy sign to Universal Republic?

    4. Muthafuckin’ ** IS ** nice, it just seems a bum move to go with a label proven to fuck over its artists. Unless he got big $$$ non-recoupable to sign, this is likely a mistake.

    5. Dude is nice on the mic. Lost In Translation is very ill. I hope he can release another mixtape or album soon

    6. Never heard of him which doesn’t mean Shit but I’m sure he will be asked to water down his name maybe not his style .you never know what niggas is smoking when they sign to these Fuck ass labels but only thing I can say is I love the dough more then you know.gotta let it show.
