Moneybagg Yo was forced to cut short a concert in Denver over the weekend due to a health scare.

The Memphis rapper performed at Mission Ballroom on Sunday (December 10) as part of his West Coast Takeover Tour.

However, Moneybagg ended the show earlier than planned following an unspecified medical emergency. He had reportedly shown up an hour late and performed for just 30 minutes.

The A Gangsta’s Pain artist took to his Instagram Stories after the event to share a photo of him receiving medical treatment, with wires strapped to his torso.

He also apologized to those who attended the curtailed show, which had already been rescheduled from its original August 29 date following a previous cancellation.

“Denver I apologize dat I had to shorten the show,” he wrote. “y’all just don’t kno wat I went through to make it happen tonight.”

Moneybagg Yo revealed he was making positive changes to his health back in January by quitting lean.

“I use to think being sober would fuck wit my creative process,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) at the time. “I see dats just a mind thing cuz I been more active skin glowing and I been dropping nun but pressure Fire #NomoWockesha.”

Wockesha refers to the cough syrup containing a mixture of codeine and promethazine. Moneybagg had a 2021 song named after the drink that peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.

His comments came several months after NLE Choppa urged the Bread Gang boss to drink a pint of chlorophyll for every pint of lean he drinks.

Choppa claimed that “chlorophyll can help detox the body, chlorophyll alkalines the body, chlorophyll can help improve the skin, chlorophyll can help aid off addiction.”

Speaking to Men’s Health in May, Moneybagg Yo also shed light on his fitness journey and explained how Instagram fuels his motivation to work out.

“I get jealous because I’ll be on Instagram scrolling and see people working out,” he said. “Their physique and body be coming right. I’ll be like, ‘I want to get like that.’ And it just motivates me to get in the gym and stay in the gym.”
