Miguel has been able to reach a significant chart milestone with his 2010 hit “Sure Thing” as he makes a comeback after being away from music for a while.

Chart Data reports that Miguel holds the record for the longest charting song in Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs history. The track has been in the Top 10 for nearly 76 weeks.

The song, which was released as part of the singer’s debut album, All I Want You, also recently re-peaked on the charts, partly due to the track going viral on TikTok earlier this year, and currently sits at No.15 on the Billboard Hot 100.

This is an impressive return for Miguel after a long absence. In April, the singer released his first solo single in nearly two years, “Give It To Me.”

He continues on the hook: “Yeah, I like what you got, ’cause I like what you got (Yeah)/ I like what you got (Yeah), would you give it to me? (Yeah)/ Yeah, I like what you got, yeah, I like what you got/ Yeah, I like what you got, would you give it to me?”

He was presumably recovering from the fallout from his divorce from Nazanin Mandi, whom he dated for 13 years before getting married in 2018.

Miguel’s last studio album was 2017’s War & Leisure, which features assists from Travis Scott, J. Cole, Rick Ross and more.
