Method Man is continuing the Meth Lab II rollout with a new video for “Grand Prix.” The visual adopts a comic book aesthetic and finds the Wu-Tang Clan legend firing off one lethal bar after another.

“I brought change into the culture/Funny how these pigeons tryna change into a vulture/You’se a poser, wit pork all on your fork and that ain’t kosher,” he spits.

Meth Lab II, of course, serves as the follow-up to the 2015 original.

The project is expected to arrive later this year.

Until then, watch the “Grand Prix” video up top.

Method Man has kicked off the rollout for The Meth Lab II: The Lithium with “Grand Prix,” the project’s first single.

Produced by Dame Grease, the laid back track allows the Wu-Tang Clan vet’s lyrical expertise to take centerstage. According to a press release, Meth has enlisted his Wu-Tang brethren and affiliates as well as “new cats from Staten Island we thought was dope” for the project.

In an interview with Billboard, Meth explained why he was coming back with a sequel.

“I can rhyme my ass off, that ain’t nothin’ new,” he said. “People already knew that, but they just tend to forget. Every now and then you’ve gotta remind them.”

The original Meth Lab album — Meth’s fifth solo album — was released in 2015 and featured his partner-in-rhyme Redman, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa and Uncle Murda, among others.

Meth Lab II was recorded in Meth Lab Studios on Staten Island and will drop later this year.

    1. Meth always been my favorite MC. I dont know why really, just clicks I guess but that meth lab was a clunker. Like he was just trying to curate a Hans On (trash btw) album. Always appreciate some new meth but unless it’s a collab or wutang album I’ll be cautiously optimistic. Track fire tho…..

      1. I forgot the name of the song but Meth, Hanz and Street talk about being in the buildin makin sure the children eat right, eat right, in the buildin makin sure the children eat right. Love the song.

    2. Mr.Meth always delivers with tight rymes, rythem, clearity, n punch lines. Definitely my favorite artist. A well rounded vet who can compliment any track with any artist he collaborates with.
Thank you for all your work, it’s much appreciated with California Love.

    3. Method Man love’s the game and is all about keeping the Hip Hop Culture alive and well ( CSI Miami. ) Song of the day Method Man & D’Angelo ( Make ups to Break ups ) did anybody notice Murder INC. Vita & 50 Cents in the Video before the G-Unit & Murder INC. beef ?

    4. OMG … Real Rap, Real Substance, oh how I missed you!!!

METHOD MAN never ever ever disappoints!!
Can’t hear an ounce of today’s media crap in his delivery

    5. Mef is a GOAT. i Put Tical up there wit The Purple Tape n Liquid Swords. Mef switches up flows like the net switches Challenges and like Donald Trump switches cabinet membership. And He got 1 of the Illest Voices in the Game. AND i hear his Show is 1 of the Best. GOAT!

    6. Yo, Meth absolutely slays this track. I just wish the best was different. I don’t wa hear Meth on no trippety-trap beats. He sounds great, he modernized his flow and kept the rhymes at a high level. A lot of clever lines in there. It has always seemed though like Meth isn’t sure if he wants to be silly or grimy. He’s both, I get it, he’s an interesting guy, that’s one of the things that has always made him one of a kind. But I personally like hearing him more on dark beats. “Perfect World”, “Party Crasher” type beats. Peace. Method Man, definitely top 20 MCs of all time. Don’t act like that’s an insult. First ballot HOF.

    7. This does not sound like a single from the album so I know he got more fire on deck like a barbeque, even if these young thugs were judges we wouldn’t honor you, if i was naked in your house what would ya mama do.
Sorry about that, all them bars from Meth got me geeked for the album

    8. Meth Lab was good. Only big gripe was way too many features, but Meth was spitting flames on his verses. Hopefully, MLII has more Meth and less of his homies. This track goes crazy.

    9. Thank god members of Wu still rapping and doing they thing. Meth got better with age and is slaying tracks. Wu 4ever

    10. Dope bars, as usual. Meh beats, pretty much as asual too. Hate to say. Would give everything for a new meth album with consistent and quality boombap beats.

    11. Was looking forward to this but I have to be honest with myself…Hanz On on half the tracks and skits everywhere? When this drop I’m just taking the best songs off of this, the 1st one and The Saga Continues and making my own meth album. He still my favourite all time so hopefully that ties me over until a real meth LP.

    12. I’m just glad to get some new music from method man. but this doesn’t look like a solo album with all these damn features. so ill check it out, then go back to waiting for the Crystal Meth album

    13. Ill still support it, but damn i want a solo meth album. I get he wants to put people from SI out there, but Meth lab had only a few tracks that have replay value. I fear this will be the same.

    14. He must be the only person who doesn’t realize that Meth Lab 1 sucked and that nobody wants a Meth Lab 2. Complete ‘Crystal Meth’ already.

    15. hopefully mef goes back to the drawing board and gives us what we want.. when this project was announced i wasn’t too excited about it honestly, due to the fact METH LAB sucked… Mef is a beast… always have and always will be… but we need him to focus and deliver on a solo mission…. Meth labs is a cool idea…. the productions are dope but the emcees are kinda corny to be honest… get some better bar tenders and go for broke mef! CRYSTAL METH has been on hold for almost a decade at this point… CONNECT BACK WITH RZA, AND TRUE MASTER… figure out a path and move from there… we need that hard core shit not this mediocre bullshit hanz on is tryna present to us as a “METHODMAN” project. I wonder what ever happened after 4:21, meth told publications he had about 10 songs done mainly produced by the RZA which he was very proud of…

    16. I’m hoping Meth delivers what we want. I’m faithful he will. Either way I can’t wait for this

    17. Tical will always be meth’s best album, nothing else came close. Tical 2000 was decent but still in the shadow of his first album.
