Meek Mill Details Being A Father

Meek Mill grew up without a father in his life and wants to make sure that changes for his own son.

Recently penning an editorial in Time, the Philadelphia native detailed the joys of being a father and also the responsibility he places on himself as a dad.

“As a father, now I get to give my son the life I never had. Being able to give him anything he wants is one of the best feelings in the world—but it’s also scary,” he relayed via the article. “The fact that no one can teach you how to be a father means you are always learning on the job. I love my son with all my heart, and I would do anything for him. It’s a crazy feeling knowing that I will help him become a great man.”

Meek also detailed his own childhood and says that his mom acted both as his father and mother. Like many single mothers, she worked as hard as she could to provide for her children.

“When I was younger, I remember being able to speak to my father and then in the blink of an eye, he was gone,” Meek recalled. “My mom played the role of both mom and dad. We had nothing growing up, so my mom worked any job she could find to provide for me and my sister. I love her so much for that. But as much as I appreciated everything my mother did for me, she couldn’t fill the space that a father should hold in a child’s life.”

Meek Mill recently announced that his Dreams Worth More Than Money album would be releasing this month. No specific release date is yet known.

    1. Now lets get back to how many single mothers I ran a train on and how many niggas I killed oh and let’s not forget how many drugs I’ve sold to the community. If Meek Mill was assigned by the powers that be to lead all my peers to hell by feeding there minds with all the lies and bullshit rap in all my music. For that I was giving the lifestyle I dreamed about. After the dream is over I will awake to the nightmare and will live in it for eternity.
      Signed In Blood!
