Emcee/singer Lyrics Born of Quannum Projects duo Latryx has a new credit to his resume. Yesterday the Solesides veteran released YES, BAY AREA, LB’s first book. Released digitally, the work is described by its author as “a two-year compilation of insightful musings on the rich, diverse, & often quirky culture of the San Francisco Bay Area.”
The Japanese-born Lyrics Born, who has spent much of his life in Berkeley, California, last released As U Were in 2010. Throughout his career, he has worked with Bay Area Hip Hop artists such as E-40, Casual, DJ Shadow and Blackalicious.
LB’s partner, Lateef The Truthspeaker, released FireWire last fall. YES, BAY AREA is available for purchase from Lyrics Born’s page.
