Logic‘s disdain for his former label Def Jam remains on display as he throws in a few more shots in the video for his new 2Pac-inspired track, “Juice II.”

Released on Thursday (May 18), the visual features performance footage from a recent show – which Logic was very specific about doing now that he’s independent.

“So for those of y’all who don’t know – I’m off Def Jam,” he tells the crowd at the beginning of the video. “I’m a muthafuckin’ free man, baby. I’m free! So that means I can do whatever the fuck I want. Like — every single one of y’all be in my brand new music video.”

Check out the clip below:

The song is a freebie that isn’t on his new album College Park, and was previously teased to fans in 2022 when he was on the road with Wiz Khalifa.

“I’m so excited I’m off Def Jam, I’m a free man,” Logic told the crowd at the time. “I been making so much music. I been making turn-up music. I been making fuckin’ boom bap Hip Hop shit, even in the trap shit I’ve been doing there’s like more of a message than ever dawg that’s real.”

He added: “I think it’s important if you’re in a position of power to spread a good message. Always peace love and positivity.”

The tour was in support of June 2022’s Vinyl Days – which marked his final Def Jam release. The project was recorded in just 12 days in an effort to fulfill his contract and depart the label. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with features from DJ Premier, RZA, Royce Da 5’9″, The Game, Action Bronson, Wiz Khalifa, Russ, AZ and more.

The Visionary Music Group MC then left the famed Hip Hop imprint in favor of a deal at BMG that would allow him to own his masters.

“There’s a lot of bullshit in the music industry,” Logic said of the move in a statement. “I’m just glad to move on to a place where I can be independent and respected as an artist, and feel like I’m in control of my career.”
