Logic’s Singing Covers Continue With Bone Thugs-N-Harmony ‘Weed Song’ Rendition

Logic is back again with another singing cover, and this time he’s doing a rendition of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony’s 2000 track “Weed Song.”

On Tuesday (March 21), the Maryland native took to YouTube to dropp his take on the Bone Thugs classic, and it’s clear the rapper isn’t listening to any of the critics who dragged him when he did another cover earlier this month.

The clip opens with Logic exiting a parked Maybach vehicle and walking through his home before performing the song throughout various scenes around his domain. Several images of Logic appear in the video via green screen while he pulls off some hilarious dance moves on his lawn.

At one point, Logic is shirtless in boxer briefs and gyrates all over the grass in his backyard while he sings the lyrics from the Bone Thugs track. The video comes after Logic received major slack for covering Ice Cube’s 1992 hit single “It Was A Good Day” earlier this month.

The Ice Cube cover was a guitar-laden version that most fans were not feeling one bit. One of the most interesting responses came from Joe Budden, who eviscerated his rap peer and advised he quit Hip Hop altogether.

“Logic, I hate to continue to make a career at your expense,” he said during an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast. “I don’t hate it, actually. I’m glad that I have a little list of you that I get to — [laughs] that’s horrible to say. One day I’m gonna grow up.

“Logic, I beg of you, I’m pleading with you: please join me in retirement. Never step near a recording device again! Throw your phone in the ocean! Be allergic to microphones! Promise your fans nothing! Don’t go to the studio ever again! You are the worst, yo! You are really, really bad!”

Logic responded to the backlash on TikTok where a fan suggested he do a covers album on nothing but music from the ’90s. According to Logic, he thought about doing one, and that Ice Cube gave him a blessing for the cover.

“You know it’s funny you should say that,” Logic said. “Um, it’s funny you should say that because I thought about doing that. Wouldn’t that be cool? Everybody’s all pissed off at me because I did a fucking Ice Cube cover. Meanwhile I texted Ice Cube and he’s like, ‘Man, keep on doing you brotha,’ like what the… who gives a fuck. Who gives a fuck.”

He added: “But you know what would be great? Is if, you’re right. I should do a whole fucking album, and just do a whole album of fucking hard ass ’90s records and call it Logic Greatest Hits, and get all them paid, and publishing, and take care of all the legends and the G.O.A.T.’s and the great’s from the ’90s. And fucking do a covers album, who gives a fuck..whaaat.”

    1. Reminded me of how dope this song is by Bone, they made some great tracks when they used
that melodic slow sing song style.

    2. Respect to the legends Bone Thugs.. this really was a weed song back in the day u can laid back and smoke one too… this remix I’m not too sure about lol

    3. Even tho the video was goofy lol. i gotta give logic props for showing love and paying homage to the legends of rap. Bone Thugs N harmony best weed song is Smoking budda by Krayzie.

    4. Logic wilding out in this video when people re do songs I think it brings positive attention to the
original. All weed songs By Bone are usually good ones even if you don’t smoke.

    5. That whole BTNH resurrection album was hitting. They had a minor flaw by not having Krayzie on
every song. Not having Krayzie on No way out
