Lizzo likely grossed out Lil Yachty and a whole bunch of other people when she trepidatiously squeezed mustard onto her Oreo cookie and ate it.
Three days after Christmas 2021, the “Truth Hurts” singer shared a TikTok video of herself eating the questionable snack and not saying a single word. Prompted by a TikTok challenge, her face seemed to say she didn’t really enjoy it — and neither did her caption: “Tiktok made me try mustard & oreos.” But then again, she did double down and add another glob of mustard to a second Oreo and ate that, too.
Of course, this is nothing new for Lizzo. Just two days later, she amassed over 10 million TikTok views eating vegan ranch on her spaghetti.
Lil Yachty, who contributed to the two million clicks Lizzo’s video received, evidently found the challenge disgusting. On Wednesday (January 5), Lil Boat made his own TikTok video, interspersing Lizzo’s original clip with his.
At one point, he makes it appear as if he’s snatching the mustard bottle out of Lizzo’s hands. “Give me the goddamn mustard,” he says. “You know this don’t go on them.” He then confiscates a bag of Oreos and adds, “You’re dead wrong.”

The cookie and mustard mash-up began in 2020 following the publication of a USA Today crossword puzzle hint. In the puzzle, the hint for 10 Down was “Cookie that some people eat with mustard,” and the only word that made sense in the crossword was “Oreo.”

Surprisingly, plenty of people seemed to enjoy the bizarre pair, and the TikTok challenge was born. USA Today investigative reporter Brett Murphy tweeted an e-mail from a reader who wanted to know who these people were who actually liked the unlikely combination, and the story went viral.
“Oreos and mustard––I can now inform you with learned experiential certainty––are wretched,” the email read in part. “Who exactly are the “some people” that consume Oreos with mustard? I would like to have a word with them. If you could kindly provide their phone numbers and home mailing addresses, I would be most appreciative.”
