Lil Xan has been vocal about his struggles with substance abuse in recent months. But last week, he took it to another level when he alleged his former manager, Stat Quo, provided with him prescription pills at the height of his addiction. His admission caused a divide among his fans (and haters), with some calling him a “snitch” and others applauding him for coming forward.
In a recent Instagram Live video, Lil Xan said it’s impossible for him to be labeled a rat because he isn’t affiliated with any gangs.
“It’s like half are saying, ‘Yo, thank God you are spreading the word,'” he said. “And the other half is, ‘Oh, you’re a snitch now, bro. He didn’t make you do that.’ All this stuff. Like, bro, I’m not a gang banger.”
He added, “I’m a civilian. How am I a snitch? Did I go to court and rat on my gang? I don’t have a gang. You can’t snitch if you’re not a fucking gang member, bro. Miss me with that. I’m trying to help other artists, particularly in my same similar situation, not die or go down the same path and get in bad deals.”

Lil Xan claimed he was considering legal action against Stat Quo in his original YouTube video, saying, “He’s gonna act like he didn’t do that, like a fuckin’ hypocrite, and I’m really feeling like I should take him to court. Because that was a time I almost died from the drugs. I was so skinny, unhealthy.”
In a follow-up tweet, the 24-year-old rapper insisted he wasn’t blaming Stat Quo entirely and was thinking of the bigger picture.
“[I’m] I putting 100% of the blame on him?” he wrote. “No I was a drug addict how could I! Am I telling you that he was doing nothing but speeding up my drug use by supplying my the very pills that could’ve killed me? YES! I’m making this public because I know in my heart this happens way too often and it’s how we end up losing some of the greatest artist way too young.”
But Top Dawg Entertainment president Punch has some questions. On Sunday (January 2), Punch took his curiosity to Twitter and asked, “This Lil Xanax things is interesting. I’m definitely not insensitive to addiction and everything that it brings, but I’m curious, how much of an artist personal life is a manager responsible for??”
He added, “Such irony. Cause some of the greatest music we all love was made under the influence of drugs.”
Lil Xan got candid about his drug addiction during an interview with 60 Minutes in August 2021, admitting he was “taking enough benzos to take down an elephant.”
He continued, “I was probably taking…12 two milligrams to 14 two milligrams a day. I was really bad. It was really bad … I looked in the mirror and I’m like — it was just that moment you know, like, if I keep doing this, I’m gonna die soon. So I just quit, cold turkey. And I actually ended up having a few seizures. And I landed in the hospital.”
The XANARCHY artist appears to be on a better path and is using his platform to inform people about the dangers of prescription drug use.
If lil xan was black, everyone would be supporting him, encourahing him and calling his manager an enabler and racist.. but since xans white and managers black then black community now calls for someone to hold accountability (lmaoo at the thought of black ppl telling someone to be accountable)
Hes not white. I dont know what he is but not white by my standards
You have some weird goofy standard. I’m guessing a flat earther or some shit. This dork is snowflake white.
I bet that dumb new generation definition of snitch is sounding pretty dumb now. Snitching has always been Snitching, now the new generation wants to change the meaning like if you’re not in a gang it’s not Snitching. But now this fool is doing this all these kids should 2nd guess their bs definition
Nobody is arguing about the definition of snitching. The young generation is simply arguing what allegiance they have to an oath they never committed to ? The snitch culture failed society. People would rather see the streets clean than worry about a bygone culture. People who believe in the snitch shit will threaten grandmas, crackheads, minors, handicapped, and anyone else who doesnt abide by the same BS oath. But when a certain people break the street code they start tossing out words like civillian. (Like Megan) How is this little baby faced kid not a civilian ? He is no different than Megan but because he white they wanna change the rules and say he needs to pledge allegiance to a gang oath just because he raps.
If I work with you, or you’re a friend, and you ask me to get you a bag of weed and I do. I bring it by, it’s hood shit at a fair price. Later you say you’re an addict and when you smoke you start drinking and doing coke, I shouldn’t have brought that on you I’m enabling etc. You put my name out on social media. YOU’RE A BITCH! Straight up. You’re a grown man. Not a kid. That shit is in you. Did he put out a list of everyone who ever sold him anything? That would be cool?
Big difference if you get shot and tell the police or if you ask someone for drugs and than tell the police about it,very big difference
Pu$$y 9@n9 m@yb3
I cant stand the kid, but I totally agree. Being a rapper doesn’t make you a gang member. This snitch shit has gotten stupid and played out. Its a relic of 90s gangsta culture. Now they expect anyone to shun the police and fight their own battles, even non gang members and women.
I dont care bout the not snitching culture and gang banging but its still lame to badmouth someone like that. Hes a little pussy who cant stand for himself. Did they forced him to do drugs. Im addic and my friends are enabling that but thid shit is on me..
Don’t nobody give a squirt of piss bout no garbage azz lil xan
So I manage an artist. He’s been an alcoholic since I first met him. He asks me to grava abortar of tequila to take to the studio. I bring it. I’m the bad guy because he can’t keep his shit together? I’m enabling him? Maybe his manager wanted to make sure he wasn’t getting fentanyl or getting rolled by cops when trying to buy shit. What a moron. That is snitching. A friend hooked you up.
life is more important than a record/music, so hopefully he’s doing the work to avoid pills and other substances. just get healthy. i’m not all in for Gen Z rappers so I’m outside of whatever social circles they like to be part of.
Fuck Royce da alkaholik, fucking drunk old piece of shit!
Is this guy a two tech video game dude or an influencer? What does he do again? Also, some sold someone names LIL’ Xan Xanax and the seller is the problem? Huh.
If this dude spent as much time on his rhymes as he does trying to explain why he’s a snitch/junkie, he might actually get some where.
What a little punk! Kid just whines about his pill use, but has the nerve to name himself after pills. You certainly don’t have to be in a gang to be a snitch. This is the definition of snitching and the crazy thing is he’s not even doing it to save his own ass, he’s just putting someone on blast for no reason. Anyone who defends this type of behavior clearly has no understanding of what it means to have a moral code.
