Lil Wayne’s Daughter Calls Out T.I. For Instagram Shaming

After Lil Wayne was offered a digital chin check on behalf of fellow lyricist T.I., Weezy’s daughter has come to her father’s defense.

In the comments section to T.I.’s Instagram post, 17-year-old Reginae Carter informed T.I. that he should have reached out to Lil Wayne directly while calling him something along the lines of craving publicity.

“You should’ve copied and pasted this and sent it to him thru via text but u wanna seek for attention,” Reginae Carter wrote.

A screen capture of Reginae’s comment, obtained by The Shade Room, is below.

Reginae continued to show support for her father, posting a photo of the two of them together and offering the following caption: “I’ll always be right by your side ! I love you daddy”

T.I.’s Instagram onload on Lil Wayne stemmed from comments Weezy made during an interview with “Dateline” about his lack of connection with the Black Lives Matter movement.

“I KNOW you wired a bit different than most other responsible adults, but still nigga U TRIPPING!!!! I don’t know what you goin thru, or what you are attempting to avoid but this shit is absolutely unacceptable!!!! You’re disrespecting yourself, bringing shame on your family name & tarnishing your legacy,” T.I. fumed in his caption. “You have children (including mines prior to now) that have looked up to you. You have sons & a daughter that depend upon your leadership.”

Despite tweeting-and-deleting a “fk ya” to whomever it may concern, Lil Wayne has since apologized for his comments.

    1. lil wayne spoke publicly. it is essential and appropriate for T.I to respond publicly. this is not about T.I. and Wayne. It is about all of us.

      1. T.I. is attention seeking and brain washed. There are a very small percentage of police officers who kill black. This year more whites were killed by police officers than blacks. Blacks kill blacks at a way higher rate than any police officer ever could. Yet black lives matter never talks about that. This year more black children were either tortured or killed by their black mothers. I guess T.I. or black lives matter won’t talk about that either

        1. Those statistics are bullshit, those whites that got shot by police actual did shit and they were armed. And once again black on black crime is not a counter argument against police shooting unarmed Blackmen. If you look at the few recent incidents were white pleople dealt with the police, they didn’t shoot that white suspect they took em down and handcuffed em( like the guy in Florida who stabbed the elderly couple then ate there face). There are issues in the black community we have to deal with but don’t think for one second, that greenlights cops to treat blacks like shit. People will believe Bigfoot and life on other planets are real but can’t see police are scared of blackmen and the the result is killing them willfully.

          1. Yes statistics based on facts are bullshit. I understand you better now. I’m black and I get tired of people telling me facts don’t matter. The truth is MORE white were KILLED by police officers than blacks. LOL. You didn’t even look up the stats I was referring to did you? You just nonchalantly said its bullshit. I’m tired of my people’s behavior and how racist politicians tell blacks it not their fault for what they are doing to themselves.

            2. what statistics are you looking at, you have no concrete evidence that more white unarmed people are being shot by police, and who’s doing the tallying. You actually see the videos of blacks being shot, its actually happening.

    2. I also want to say I don’t support lil waynes behaviour even though I know for a fact that black lives matter is a joke. He look like he was high as fuck in that interview and he looks like he needs serious help.

    3. She’s is right, if dude is your friend, you have his number could have just reached out to him. But it’s about attention Ti is always seeking attention and you can disagree with a friend but still show support meaning that some one in waynes condition should be approached a little different especially if you know him personally. No reason to take it to social media I’ve never like Ti because of his fraud like behavior. He tries to use people until that can’t be used anymore. Look what he did to Iggy he was defending her hard at first then when people starting really taking shots at her he jump ship and start taking shots too.

    4. I see both sides but Wayne shouldn’t get special treatment! T.I. has gone at everyone the exact same way, so why change up for Wayne! He said that stupid shit in public, he get his ass blasted in public! Why she didn’t go at Dr. Boyce Watkins when he got at her daddy!

    5. Wayne turning into a junkie like X sad but true. Who is managing him the less interviews he does the better. Why yall think
Beyonce don’t be doing In depth interviews her management team knows better.

      1. Not really. She is trying to publicly shame him/publicly support her father. It’s different. T.I. should’ve called his supposed friend instead of posting it on IG.

    6. All T.i. Does is use multiple big words together in the same sentence that mean the same thing like he can’t wait to show off the new words he learned in the threasurous

    7. All of y’all are dumb. Statistics and total number aren’t the same thing. The argument was doomed from the start because you idiots bring nothing tangible to the table.

    8. If you’re a 34 year old man who needs to have a person to teach you not to say dumb shit in interviews, you lost.

      Congratulations Wayne, you played yourself.

    9. Sometimes it’s good to just simply shut the fuck up (Wayne and daughter). T.I. Is spot on. And like other posts have said, he spoke publicly, so he gets criticized the same. Wayne’s comments cannot be justified. No excuses for downright ignorance. Period. Both artists have done dumb shit in their careers. At least T.I. appears to have matured.

    10. So shouldn’t she done the same thing to T.I.P? Did she lose T.I.P number? Kids. T.I.P daughter better step in and calm this silver spoon having girl down.

Should T.I.P have texted weezy that if they were boyz? Hell, Should weezy had not said what he said about BLM? goes both ways. At the end, weezy look horrible saying what he said but the sad part his fans dont give a shi. smh

      1. Well… I am a grown folk. You need to shut the fuck up and listen! She actually right! If he is a true friend of Wayne, he could of call or text him what he had to say, not exploited it on social media!

    11. So his own personal opinion doesn’t matter, what matters more is he is seen standing with others of color?
      fOh.
If he doesn’t feel he relates, you can’t force him to. He isn’t being racist or any of that he is saying he doesn’t see himself represented in BLM, and I don’t see me, or my family represented by those middle class “African blacks only” fucks either.

    12. See I saw the interview and thought surely he was gonna come correct, I guess I was wrong. Now how Ti came at Wayne yes it was wrong!!! It wasn’t being a gentlemen or friend about it. Yeah a phone call or drop by would have yielded better results. At least Wayne did apologize for his words but I’m a believer in once the bullet is out the chamber it will all its supposed to. Wayne I have lost a lot of respect for you I thought u would be a voice for your fans.. I guess not!!!

      1. I really don’t think that he was wrong, what I do feel though, is that just like Wayne has a platform Tip does as well and he uses his to educate. Whether it be his peers or whomever else it may be who feels that this way of thinking is okay. Who is to say he didn’t reach out on a personal level?
