Lil Wayne kicked off his Welcome To Tha Carter Tour earlier this month and Weezy brought out Chance The Rapper as a special guest for the Chicago show.
The New Orleans rap deity stopped by Chitown’s intimate Radius venue on April 9 where he welcomed Chano out to the surprise of the fans in attendance. They performed their party-starting “No Problem” anthem together.

Chance invaded the stage rocking khaki jeans, a hoodie, a jean jacket and his signature “3” fitted cap while injecting the crowd with a dose of serotonin.
“No Problem” landed on Chance’s acclaimed Coloring Book project in 2016. The smash hit with 2 Chainz won Best Rap Song honors at the Grammy Awards and peaked at No. 46 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The rest of the nostalgic set spans Lil Wayne’s entire Hall of Fame career as he’s performing classics such as “Every Girl,” “We Be Steady Mobbin,” “Hustler Musik,” “Let the Beat Build,” “Mr. Carter” and more on any given night.

The Welcome to Tha Carter Tour continues this week with shows slated for Detroit, Boston, Toronto and Harlem’s famous Apollo Theater on April 16.
Ahead of the North American trek, Wayne recently dropped his compilation album I Am Music, featuring some of the biggest songs from his decorated catalog.
The album comes equipped with 18 tracks spanning Wayne’s almost 30-year career. Among them are hits like “A Milli,” “6 Foot 7 Foot,” “Go DJ,” “Fireman” and “Lollipop” — the latter of which earned Weezy his first diamond plaque last year.
Weezy’s next album is expected to be the sixth entry in his flagship Tha Carter series, which he first teased at Drake’s October World Weekend festival in Toronto last summer.

The New Orleans native has only added to the excitement for the highly-anticipated project by hitting the studio with the likes of Wyclef Jean and Juelz Santana, both of whom he’s collaborated with on hits in the past.
While there’s no word on a release date just yet, Tha Carter 6 will serve as the sequel to 2018’s Tha Carter V and Lil Wayne’s first studio offering since Funeral, which dropped in 2020.
