(The original post in this thread ran November 2, 2015. It is as follows.)

With a tweet sent early today (November 2), Lil Wayne confirmed that there will in fact be a No Ceilings 2. The rapper’s first No Ceilings mixtape was released over six years ago on Halloween of 2009.

In the tweet sent today, Wayne revealed that No Ceilings 2 will be released this Thanksgiving (November 26).

In addition to the project’s release date, Lil Wayne’s tweet also featured the cover art for No Ceilings 2.

“Let’s do it…Thxgiving…lets eat!,” Lil Wayne wrote in a tweet sent today.

No Ceilings was released shortly before the Young Money lyricist began his one-year prison sentence at Rikers Island. The mixtape featured guest appearances from Tyga, Nicki Minaj, Birdman, and a handful of other artists.

No Ceilings 2 will serve as the second mixtape Lil Wayne has released following his fallout with Birdman and Cash Money Records. In January of this year, he released his Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape.

Aside from a release date and its cover art, no other details on No Ceilings 2 have been revealed.

    1. No ceilings was brilliant. Gonna be sad when this comes out and its filled with that current singrap autotune mess. Put a ceiling on that garbage already.

    2. Sometimes when you walk up to a urinal it’s full of orange piss. So disgusting. Niggas need to hydrate better.

    3. This’ll be a bunch of auto-tuned incoherent metaphors “Killed that pussy like Michael Myers” type bs! Wayne has nothing left. He’s washed!

    4. Wayne don’t even have to rap no more he does this shit for fun. 50% people download his shit illegally before it drops anyways

    5. dont come here and say be acting gays who even need you guys here, weezy the best that touch the mic, the best rapper alive

    6. Ah the Wayne Dick Riding has already begun. He could take a shit in the booth and record the grunts and yall will still be like “GREATEST ALIVE”

    7. Ah the Wayne Dick Riding has already begun. He could take a shit in the booth and record the grunts and yall will still be like “GREATEST ALIVE”

    8. More garbage. Any half decent rapper sounds good over classic beats. Make a good album though Wayne. You can’t do it.

    9. y’all some hating ass motherfuckers..we see who the real dick riders are. The bum ass motherfuckers who claim they don’t like Wayne yet and still be all in the nigga business seeing what he up to just to hate..you people are so sad.

    10. Wayne has lost it already. Nobody wants to say it but he is washed. Remember when he had a feature or dropped a random son it would shoot to the top of the charts? Not anymore!!! He has lost his place in hip hop. Dude isn’t even mentioned anymore. He released too many songs that were terrible!!! He is done

    11. Oh Man, I’ve got a feeling this Mixtape right here will live up to its expectations. This right here will be HEAT. Why does it have to Drop at Midnight, this is Rubbish. I just Can’t Wait. #WeezyTheGreatest.

    12. This is kinda sad when you think about the fact he hasnt made a hit record in overr 5 years

The best the lil guy can do is jump on a sick Drake track and ride the coat tails…

      Should retire….

    13. Weezy won me over. I’m a Hip-Hop traditionalist man. 90% of the hip-hop I listen to is what you would expect a 30 year old NY rap fan to listen to, but I can’t front on Weezy. He’s just a dope MC. He’s witty as fuck, he has creative concepts, he’s got a million flows and styles, his rhymes are dope even by backpacker standards, and he’s just fun man. You guys act like you’re betraying some hip-hop code by admitting that this nigga is swift. Give props where it’s due. That FWA album was fire. I’m on this one.

      1. Wayne would be all of what u said*but the fact is he had plenty of ghostwriters*nobody & I mean nobody goes from down south new orleans style of rap to fucking spittin like a NY rap vet*foh*& billboard had the audacity to place Him in the top 10*long live the 80s & 90s*

      2. The answer to your question is currency early on then jae millz thats why his style changed not that Wayne doesn’t have talent he just had a lot of help getting there

      3. Nigga are u crazy? Who ghostwrote No Ceilings? Who ghostwrote Drought 3? Carter 2? 3peat? Who ghostwrote Carter 2 nigga? NY niggas act like the South ain’t got spitters.

      4. “He’s witty as fuck” Nope. “he has creative concepts” What’s so creative about rapping about eating pussy, smoking weed, and sipping lean? “he’s got a million flows and styles” That he stole from other rappers. “his rhymes are dope even by backpacker standards” Not even close. “he’s just fun man” I can think of a million other rappers who are more “fun.” Wayne is the epitome of a garbage rapper.

    14. I used to say that same shit til I stopped being childish and actually listened to him. The nigga is just nice man. Get off your high horse. Nobody’s gonna send you a hiphop lifetime achievement award for never listening to a mainstream rapper.

    15. @305*niggah is u crazy*they’re called ghostwriters for a reason*Gillie comes to mind*peep game youngn*he had a team behind him in the vein of drake*never said the south doesn’t have spitters*they just don’t fucking transition like wayne did*bitch bwoy*long live the 80s & 90s*

    16. Thats funny cause a couple years ago yall was on Waynes dick so hard if even left a negative comment everyone would flip out now everyones like Lil Wayne sucks? No shit! He always has but everyone listen to whats popular and now everyone agrees he sucks? Yall some fuckin drones man. Have some dignity and rep your boy!

      1. The way the internet works is your Fans comment OR your haters comment. Rarely do both. So what u deem to be fair-weather Lil Wayne fans are actually the haters having an opp to hate honestly. Likely his fans are quiet just like a Kobe Bryant fan would be now, there is nothing they can say. He was not wack years ago he was overrated from mixtape success, hence not an artist’s artist. I take it ur an artist with ur strong opinion and all. See only artist have a strong opinion. Then there is the inbetweeners and then the bandwagoners. That’s all the consumers. Artist, inbetweeeners and bandwagoners. Obviously, I’m an artist.

      2. Shut yo stupid ass up, you acting like people’s opinions can’t change over time. Wayne got garbage over time, so their opinions of him change over time. Take yo unrealistic ass back to Neverland

    17. damn weezy how you gonna give us a little hope of returning to form with FWA then go right back to autotune-hype weezy. Its got a few bright spots but overall eh

    18. Can someone please explain why this fool feels it’s necessary to clarify that he’s on every track on his own mixtape? Look at the tracklisting on the cover art – why does he need to tell us he’s on every track individually..? Idiot

    19. Wayne is the most overrated rapper ever by like 500 times over dude wacker than wacker. There are in the 90s that so so at best when compered to Wayne they are 10 times grammy winners like Skee Lo and J Live. Wayne has done more to kill rap hiphop than any other artist just about ever swag artist has tried to copy Wayne 100%. Please go away already nobody want hear your wack azz already just stop already. You keep proving why your the most overrated artist in history and we want your azz history to smh.

      1. Next time you want to hate on someone at least post something that is readable. Because that comment was wack already wacker than wack already lol foh already.

    20. Wow all this time I was anticipating a monster mixtape once weezy announced No Ceilings 2 ! Real simple u hit the ceiling in this one homie not even close to No Ceilings that shit was a classic and 2 sub par at best . Wayne u had your run boi but time is up ….

    21. wayne been on it, even its not top game. he is them most consistent. Not all what you claim it is, you just hear it different cause you changed he aint. Wayne on other level doing what he does, hold up yo its cool voicing an opinion but it gets to be over kill. people do what they want sometimes, it aint always your liking cause its what the artist wanna do.

    22. SORRY 4 THE WAIT 2..was okay..FWA waz kool…but THE C2 & ThE C3 waz WEEZY F BABY’s best era……the TUNECHI era needs THE C5……period

    23. Pretty nice mix tape. His creativity seemed to be back in this one when you get past the annoying spitting over other people’s beats that some rapppers do on their mix tapes.
