Lil Uzi Vert has issued a definitive response to the long-running rumors surrounding their sexuality, clarifying that they are not in fact gay.

The incessant speculation has apparently been irking the Philadelphia rapper, who wasted little time setting the record straight on their new album Pink Tape.

“First of all, I fuck eight bitches a day/ How could you ever say Lil Uzi gay?/ Fuck four of ’em raw, fuck four of ’em safe/ Think I’m splittin’ the odds before you to debate,” they rapped in the opening few lines of the intro track “Flooded the Face.”

Elsewhere, on “Spin Again” — which they debuted live at the 2023 BET Awards this past weekend — Uzi doubled down on their assertion by bragging about sleeping with a girl who resembles Ice Spice.

“I’m fucking the dogshit out of this bitch, her wig came off twice/ She had a lil’ fro, she look like Ice Spice/ She call me lil’ bro, fuckin’ on models in ‘Vogue’/ N-ggas, they thought I was gay, but I do not know how though,” they spit.

Despite the surplus of sexual partners, Lil Uzi does show love to their girlfriend, City Girls star JT, at various points throughout the record.

“If that lil’ bitch not a City Girl then I swear that shit is borin,'” they rap on “That Fiya,” while seemingly referencing JT’s criminal past on “Mama, I’m Sorry” by rapping: “My bitch so bad, yeah my bitch, she a felon.”

Speculation surrounding Lil Uzi Vert’s sexuality has been fueled by the rapper’s androgynous outfits and recently-introduced “Leslie” alter-ego, as well as their decision to change their pronouns to they/them last year.

The “Just Wanna Rock” hitmaker explained the switch in a recent interview with 032c magazine, saying it wasn’t taken lightly and they feel a level of support and acceptance from the LGBTQ+ community that they haven’t previously experienced.

“I never hesitated. But I did take my time to learn as much as I could about this before I was able to proceed,” they said. “Taking the time to figure out who you are is a big part of what it means to be alive. Once you figure out whether you’re here with it, there with it, or both, you’re not alone anymore.

“This community offers access to a certain kind of support that you might not have had [previously during] your entire life because you weren’t raised that way. I come from a household where it’s not okay to be ‘non’ anything.”
