Lil Uzi Vert has responded to critics of his androgynous new alter ego, Leslie, which he introduced to the world while touring Thailand earlier this week.

It appears that Uzi is a fan of the Hangover trilogy as the Philadelphia rapper channeled the character of Leslie Chow, played by Ken Jeong, while defending their new look.

“Chow understand people always don’t like ways of Chow,” Uzi wrote on his Instagram Stories on Wednesday night (April 19). “But Chow don’t give af Chow rich and never look back ….. Suck my monkey tail LESLIE OUT.”

Uzi fed into the Leslie Chow comparisons earlier this week by posting a clip of him channeling the character’s mannerisms while out in Thailand.

“Toodeloo, muthafuckas! It’s Chow,” the “Just Wanna Rock” hitmaker said while walking in a robe and smoking on what looks to be a cigarette.

Lil Uzi Vert unveiled their new alter ego on Instagram on Sunday (April 16) while performing at Thailand’s inaugural Rolling Loud festival.

He posted a series of photos showing off Leslie’s emo-inspired hairstyle and outfit, which quickly divided fans and elicited plenty of polarizing reactions.

“I thought that was someone’s grandmother,” another commenter quipped.

Not everyone was turned off by Uzi’s new look, though. “Stop telling folks to be normal.. normal is Boring if this is his personality let it be,” one fan wrote in defense of his individuality.

Pennsylvania rapper Eem Triplin, meanwhile, hailed Uzi as “not human” while using a goat emoji to crown him as the greatest of all time.

Nicki Minaj even poked fun at Leslie by posting a side-by-side photo of Uzi’s emo look and her outfit from the music video to Young Money’s 2009 hit “Bedrock.”

“She said I can make your bedrock,” Minaj captioned the post.
