Lil Uzi Vert has left fans divided after introducing their new alter-ego, Leslie.

The Philly rapper unveiled their new look and moniker on Instagram on Sunday (April 16) while touring in Thailand.

Uzi posted a series of photos showing off Leslie’s emo-inspired hairstyle and outfit, along with a video of them eating a cockroach.

In the pictures, Baby Pluto can be seen wearing a “Pink Tape” T-shirt, which is the name of their upcoming album.

Fans took to the comments section of Lil Uzi Vert’s post to share their thoughts on their new alter-ego, with many people mocking their new look.

“N-gga looking like somebody emo auntie,” one fan wrote, while another joked: “Uzi looking like he just joined panic at the disco.”

“I thought that was someone’s grandmother,” another commenter quipped.

Not everyone was turned off by Uzi’s new look, though. “Stop telling folks to be normal.. normal is Boring if this is his personality let it be,” one fan wrote in defense of his individuality.

Pennsylvania rapper Eem Triplin, meanwhile, hailed Uzi as “not human” while using a goat emoji to crown him as the greatest of all time.

Lil Uzi Vert’s new alter-ego comes just days after he performed at Rolling Loud Thailand in Pattaya City on Thursday (April 13).

The festival was headlined by Cardi B, Chris Brown and Travis Scott, with Rae Sremmurd, Rick Ross, Offset, Fat Joe, DaBaby, Central Cee, Soulja Boy and many others also on the lineup.

Uzi is currently working on their long-awaited third album, The Pink Tape, which is set to be released this year. Don Cannon recently claimed Uzi has recorded almost 700 songs for the project.

“I gotta say him because he’s non-stop,” he said. “Right now, we working on the album and he got 680 songs [from the last] 18 months. I call him the Kobe Bryant when he was saying he used to shoot jump shots after the game.

“That’s what he doing. He give you a hit and do five songs a day. Nobody believe me. I bring them to the studio to see. Sober, high, when he used to get high and now he sober doing it. Ain’t nothing changed.”

He added: “He one of them guys, and it’s different because you’re getting all different kind of songs out of him. You might get a rock song, a real rap song because he really rap, you might get the melodic shit that he do.”
