Snoop Dogg has taken his frustrations out on another Los Angeles Lakers player following the team’s latest loss, and this time he’s zeroed in on Troy Brown Jr.
The West Coast legend went on another rant on Wednesday night (April 19) after his beloved Lakers lost game 2 of their first-round playoff series against the Memphis Grizzlies, calling out the 23-year-old small forward for his poor shooting performances so far.
“Troy Brown from the L.A. Lakers, if you don’t get yo ass in the gym and start shooting them fucking threes and making them,” Snoop barked in an Instagram video. “You done missed every three this series, cuz. Every one! Get yo ass in the gym and make them threes.”
Snoop then demanded Lakers head coach Darvin Ham to “start putting the other cuz in the game, No. 0 [Shaquille Harrison], or take some of cuz time away. He ain’t hit shit. You need to start hitting, cuz. You supposed to be a three-point specialist. You ain’t making shit.”
He continued: “Brown, No. 7 from the Lakers, get yo ass in the fucking gym right now! Don’t go to the club. Don’t go to nothing — take yo ass to the gym and go shoot, n-gga, ’til you get it right.”

Snoop Dogg’s brutal comments sparked a heated debate about who was to blame for the Lakers’ loss, with many fans voicing their opinions in his comments section.
“If Snoop personally gives you this warning, you know you did something wrong,” one follower wrote, while another pointed the finger at Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell. “AD only had 13, and D-lo was mediocre AF too… Hamm needs to let Lonnie Walker get some of those minutes.”
The Lakers were beaten 103-93 by the Grizzlies in Memphis to even the series up. The purple and gold were trailing for most of the game, with Troy Brown Jr. and Dennis Shroder being held scoreless.
What makes the loss more frustrating for Lakers fans is the fact that the Grizzlies were without their superstar guard, Ja Morant.
Brown Jr. has indeed had a rough start to the playoffs as he’s shot a combined 1-10 in his time on the floor in the three contests — including their play-in victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves — which includes 1-7 from three-point land.
The Lakers will look to get back on track when they return to the Crypto.com Arena for game 3 on Saturday night (April 22).
I love how all these front court celebrities always have some comments on athletes performance, like they know better. Sit yo ass down and shut the duck up you are not helping anyone
Meanwhile Snoop can’t even bench 4lbs.
I remember Snoop gave the same rant a few years ago after the Lakers lost to that “other” L.A. team, the day after Christmas, and he’s much calmer now than he was back then.
I’d say back “Make better music!”
Is it OK for me to rant after the next Snoop project comes out and I don’t like it, just saying. Carry On!!!
