LeBron James Declares Jadakiss ‘Most Underrated Hip Hop Artist Of All-Time’ Post-Verzuz

LeBron James is an avid rap fan and was raised on ’90s Hip Hop while growing up in Akron, Ohio. Following Tuesday night’s entertaining Verzuz battle between New York heavyweight crews The LOX and Dipset, King James took to Twitter to give Jadakiss his flowers.

“JADAKISS is the most UNDERRATED hip-hop artist of ALL-TIME,” he wrote with a series of bouquet emojis. “MY GOODNESS.”

Jadakiss put on a rapping clinic for the Verzuz audience on hand inside the historic Madison Square Garden Hulu Theater. Praise poured in for the Yonkers legend as he lead The LOX to a consensus victory over Dipset by showing his versatility as a performer with a range of bangers from mainstream hits with Jennifer Lopez to DJ Clue freestyles.

LeBron James’ newest Laker teammate Carmelo Anthony was in the building taking in all the action in an arena he once called home.

In February, the Lakers star teased the idea of him curating a rap album, which many thought would be the Space Jam 2 soundtrack, but LeBron eased fans’ worries that he wouldn’t be going the Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal or Damian Lillard route by actually spitting rhymes on tracks.

“My love for music is INSANE,” he wrote. “I think I’m going to do a album. Oh no I won’t be rapping or anything like that. I’m not crazy, I know what I’m great at, but I tell you one thing I do have. So many friends that can.”

James also served as an A&R and executive producer for 2 Chainz’s 2019 LP Rap or Go to the League.

    1. Jadakisd is not underrated. Everyone knows Jada is nice. If anything AZ in my opinion is the most underrated in hip hop history.

    3. Damn love lox always from day one styles sheek kiss that’s y I love underground hip-hop I don’t listen to soft jokes bars dey about that life real shit no fake things

    4. I am from downsouth and we know down here Jada is on of the best. Jada nas dmx I can say off top got played down here. We don’t listen to Jay z down this way but can’t take anything from him. He can’t be underrated if the south fuck with you and you an up north rapper

    5. Only a dumbass would say jadakiss is underrated no wonder LeBron will never be better thsn kobe and Jordan.black thought is the most underrated mc

      1. Wow. For a dumbass closeted homosexual bigot you actually were right for once. Keep that momentum weirdo.

    6. Dude is just caught up in the hype and had to say something after the Verzuz. Jadakiss BEEN A BEAST! Its just that nobody supports or talks about it until a big event like this comes out and everyone chimes in on social media. Keep it real! You weren’t listening to LOX this whole year Lebron and want to comment something fake. LOX always been street and been thorough!

    7. LeBron is a fucking idiot and doesn’t know shit about hip hop. Who tf told him that Jadakiss is underrated?? You can’t be underrated and be T5DOA

      1. I assume he means underrated in terms of record sales against how talented a rapper he is. He’s not doing Jay or Drake numbers for example.

    8. Jada has been nice. Dude is stupid. I’d say Black Thought, MF DOOM or Daz Dillinger are some of the best underrated rappers out there. Jada is top 10 for sure. He’s tripping on that too 5 dead or alive shit though. Big, Pac, Pun, BDK, Rakim, Nas, Jay, Big L, MF DOOM, Em, André 3000, Big Boi… Al ahead of his ass IMO. More than half are still alive. I could understand him making the list though. He can spit and his shit is real.

        1. You’re smoking crack. Name one Jada track, or lox track, hotter than any OutKast or DOOM track. LOL. Dummy.

    9. Clearly Lebron don’t know shit about hip hop to even make a statement like that. Of course, this is the same guy who couldn’t even lip sync Welcome To The Terrordome correctly in his own commercial….

    10. Jada never really lived up to his potential, but he was always nice. Only thing held him back is production and songwriting.

All he did was expose what everyone outside of NY knew: Dipset was always corny, goofy, trying to hard and clownish. Only dudes who really listened to them are dudes 18-25 who thought swag and jokes would transfer from high school to real life.

    11. Jada was my favorite MC in the late 90s and early 2000s, and I’m from Mississippi. I love unique, solid flows and bars. My top rappers when I was a teenager was: Jada, Ja Rule, Nas, X, Scarface, Big, Pac, Killa Cam, Snoop, BG, Pastor Troy, Project Pat, Mac, Lil Wayne, Bun B, and Tela. Jada gets forgotten about because he put in so much work back then. Nowadays we have several, several great spitters: Dave East, Boldy James, Conway the Machine, Benny the Butcher, Don Trip, YG, Dom Kennedy, Rapsody, Meek Mil, Joey Badass, Kendrick, J. Cole, and the list goes on.

    12. “Most of them is loving me, some of them is hating me
Say he’s underrated depending on whose rating me”

    13. The obvious answer to the most underrated hip hop artist of all time: Black Thought. Game. Set. Match

    14. It goes Reggie, Jay-Z, 2Pac and Biggie, Andre from Outkast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas and then me… when the GOAT calls you a better rapper than him on the best song while he is the biggest star on the planet, you are not underrated. If you didn’t know about Kiss you was sleepin under a tree. If you woulda said AZ, Black Thought, Big L then we talkin underrated…

      1. eminem is not the goat, he a hasnt mad an above average album since eminem show, he can rap, but his subject matter wierd voices and flow make his new stuff unbearable. he’s the highest selling because white people gobble his stuff up.

    15. Amazing! I believe when God places a gift in someone it’s always inspiring to see the reactions from the like minded audience that receive the music into their own souls. As a lyricist it’s always very motivating. To keep doing what you love! If being a cheerful giver of priceless yet invaluable things is who you are. The fact that the picture you painted with your beauty words just makes the light within shine brighter inside out. #GODFIRST
