Los Angeles, CA

Kid Cudi has spoken out about how a “crazed” stalker has left him fearing for his safety.

After his home was broken into during the Los Angeles wildfires earlier this month, the Lonely Stoner took to social media to clear up some misconceptions about the perpetrator.

While it was speculated that the man was homeless and broke into Cudi’s empty home to eat and shower, the rapper says the truth is much more sinister.

“Hey, so I wanna clear this up cause I see the internets running w things and making jokes and this shit is not funny. The person that broke into my house was a crazed fan that has been stalking me for years with out me knowing. He’s been to shows, events I’ve done in the states and overseas,” he wrote on X.

“He drove across the country and broke into my house hoping to talk w me about collabing and ideas he had. There is nothing funny about this. My privacy was violated, and now I have to protect myself.”

Cudi continued: “I dont feel safe now. He rummaged through personal things, my fiance’s stuff, took a shower and ate, all while thinking he was actually gonna have a conversation w me.

“This was an unhinged 34 year old man. Not homeless. Im gonna take some serious security measures to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Im not online to see the comments, but word got back to me people are making light of this and its not okay.”

“If im standoffish when u see me in public now, this is why,” he added.

TMZ previously reported that an intruder broke into Kid Cudi’s property on January 15 while it was empty and made himself at home.

The culprit reportedly helped himself to food from Cudi’s kitchen, used his bathroom and even took a shower before he was caught.

The discovery was made after the man was seen on security cameras in Cudder’s kitchen while not wearing a shirt.

Police were called and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department arrested the man while he was still in the rapper and actor’s house.
