Kid Cudi‘s Los Angeles home has been the victim of a burglary after he evacuated it due to the ongoing wildfires in the city — but the circumstances surrounding the break-in are a little strange.
According to TMZ, an intruder broke into the rapper’s property on Wednesday (January 15) while it was empty and made himself at home.

The culprit reportedly helped himself to food from Cudi’s kitchen, used his bathroom and even took a shower before he was caught.
The discovery was made after the man was seen on security cameras in Cudi’s kitchen while not wearing a top.

Police were called and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department arrested the man while he was still in the rapper and actor’s house.
He was then booked for felony burglary and theft of utilities and is currently being held on a hefty $150,000 bail.

Kid Cudi announced that he was evacuating his home last week (January 8) as the wildfires spread across L.A., affecting hundreds of thousands of residents.
In an Instagram post, he said: “Hey guys, had to evacuate my crib. Im safe, w my loved ones, dogs are safe. For all the folk who lost their homes, people that are dealing with this, my heart hurts for you.
“Im for praying us all and I send ALL my love to you and yours. if you have to evacuate, get out immediately. Dont hesitate. Be safe LA. Love you guys.”
California’s own Snoop Dogg has been among those helping out victims of the blazes, which have so far claimed at least 25 lives.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this week, Snoop revealed that he’s been “pushing buttons” to aid with relief efforts across the city.
“I got a lot of people that’s out there on the ground that’s making things happen,” he said. “I’m pushing buttons, making things happen, and making sure that the right people are getting the things they need.”
