Kid Capri has revealed he’s battling COVID-19. Taking to Instagram on Thursday (January 6), the legendary Bronx DJ shared a post from bed with the caption, “I’m sick as hell. Stay home if it’s not important.” In the video, he describes his symptoms and continues to urge people to stay inside.
“I’m sick as shit, man,” he said. “Y’all gotta be careful out there, man. Y’all be careful ’cause it’s bad out there. I’ve been sick for the last three days. Fucking head is pounding. Back hurt. I’m pretty far from good. I just wanted to pop on here and tell y’all take care of yourselves, man. Fuck them parties. Fuck hanging out. If you ain’t gotta be somewhere then don’t go. Just relax, ’cause this shit is no joke.”
He continued, “A lot of people I know are dying. Force MD’s Jessie D died today. It’s killing a lot of people, man. So if you ain’t healthy, it’ll do you in. So just try to stay out the way, man. Every shirt I put on, I sweat it out. The lady just left here to give me my test. I had the home test, she came over here and tested me. Fucking head is pounding. But like I said, man, just stay out the way. Take care of yourself out there because it’s serious. Shit is serious.”
As well as mentioning Jessie D, whose death was announced on Tuesday (January 4), Kid Capri also touched on DJ Kay Slay’s struggle with COVID-19.
“Kay Slay too, man,” he said. “I called Kay Slay in the hospital, he told me he almost checked out. He said, ‘I almost checked out last night K.’ He couldn’t even talk, he could hardly talk. But I think he’s getting better though. I’m just fucked up right now, I can’t do shit. I was supposed to do a show in Chicago this week. We canceled everything, we canceled all that shit. I’m not gonna be on Sirius this week. I just can’t do nothing, man. I’m just gonna sit down and try to get rid of this shit, man.”
He added, “Slay is on the ventilator right now? Oh, man. Damn. Let me try to reach out to Slay and find out what’s going on, text him. This shit is crazy right now, b. Alright, let me check on Slay, I’ll get back at y’all. Remember, stay out the way, man.”

In the comments of Kid Capri’s post, he received support from the likes of DJ Premier, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Clue, Lord Finesse, Battlecat, Ski Beatz, DJ Green Lantern, Diamond D, Young Guru, Freeway and many others.
Lord Finesse wrote, “Wishing you a quick recovery my brother,” with Battlecat commenting, “GOD HAS IS ARMS AROUND YOU THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOU CARE I CARE LOVE YO LIL BIG BROTHER.” DJ Premier added, “Capri stay fighting your immune system naturally bro…Get Well!!!”
Since posting the video, DJ Kay Slay’s brother revealed to HipHopDX that Slay is on his way to recovery and that he’s “definitely not going to die.”

I don’t know why I’m even responding but this is complete misinformation. You are obviously not a medical professional. The vaccines help your body produce the antibodies against COVID-19, they don’t inject you with antibodies nor do they attack your immune system.
