Kendrick Lamar’s Unreleased ‘Broccoli’ Song Powers Mercedes F1 Grand Prix Promo

Kendrick Lamar‘s unreleased track featured at the beginning of the “Not Like Us” video, which fans have taken to calling “Broccoli” or “Broccoli (Reincarnated),” has shown up in another unusual place: a commercial for the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team.

The ad, showing visuals of the team and announcing that “F1 is back,” appeared on X on Sunday (October 13). Its 15-second running time is soundtracked entirely by the Kendrick track, sharing the same section of the song’s opening that can be heard in the “Not Like Me” clip.

So far, there’s no word about when or if the full version of the track will surface.

In other K.dot news, he has continued to stamp his authority on the rap game by dominating the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards, taking home a record number of trophies.

From 11 nominations, Kendrick emerged victorious in eight categories, the most that have been won on a single night in the awards’ history.

Three of the Compton rap star’s wins were thanks to his chart-topping Drake diss track “Not Like Us,” which was crowned Song of the Year, Best Hip Hop Video and Impact Track.

Kendrick’s “Like That” song with Future and Metro Boomin, which ignited his high-profile beef with Drizzy, won Best Collaboration, while his blistering cameo on the number one hit also took home the award for Best Featured Verse.

The pgLang founder was additionally named Hip Hop Artist of the Year, beating out the likes of Drake, Nicki Minaj and Future; Lyricist of the Year; and Video Director of the Year alongside fellow “little homie” Dave Free.

One award that Lamar could not pick up was Album of the Year, which went to Nicki Minaj for her latest project Pink Friday 2.

The Young Money MC, who is the first female rapper to win the award, celebrated by posting a clip from the film Child’s Play on social media.

50 Cent was also a winner on the night in the Hustler of the Year category.

He reacted on Instagram by writing: “First and foremost I’d like to thank God, for making me struggle it’s making me great now. Big [cash emoji] let’s get it.”

    1. look how desperate they are to use this music and those faces. minority groups are being used to push the mainstream. that’s exactly how slavery works. i wonder if there is a group of people that control the foundational financial institutions that make all of this possible.

      1. “You’re pointing out who actually owned the boats and came here first! Don’t do that, YOU are the colonizer!” Lol. That’s you VIP…
