Kanye West Gets Plea From Fivio Foreign Following ‘Retirement’ Announcement

Kanye West has received a plea from Fivio Foreign, echoing what many fans may have felt following Ye’s surprising “retirement” announcement.

Video emerged of the Brooklyn rapper asking Yeezy to change his mind on Friday (July 19).

In the clip, Fivio says West should reconsider. He says: “Yo, Ye. Don’t ever be done. We need you. We need you, Ye!”

    Check out the video below.

West’s decision to retire from music sparked confusion when it was shared earlier this month, despite the fact that new music was recently released.

Rich The Kid originally shared a text message from Ye in which the Chicago rap legend said he is “retiring from professional music” and is “not sure what else to do.”

Shortly afterwards, however, the “New Freezer” rapper appeared to reveal that it was merely a ploy to promote his new album Life’s a Gamble by sharing the tracklist and updated release date for the project, which arrived on July 19.

“ACTUALLY WE DROPPING FRIDAY [crying face emojis] 7/19,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) in response to his original post, which has since been deleted.

West features on two songs on the album: “Gimme a Second 2” alongside Ty Dolla $ign and Peso Pluma, and “Carnival,” which is lifted from his and Ty’s Vultures 1 LP. Ye and Ty were also tapped as executive producers on the project.

Just days earlier, Rich announced that he was delaying the release of Life’s a Gamble and did not know when it would drop.

In addition to his contributions to Rich The Kid’s album, Kanye West also has a new song with Consequence, which arrived earlier this month.

Cons, a longtime Kanye collaborator and one of the earliest artists on G.O.O.D. Music, wrote on social media: “‘No Apologies’. Featuring YE. THE WAIT IS OVER. WE DID WHAT DID TO GET PAID. 07.12.24.”

The track is expected to appear on the Queens, New York rapper’s upcoming album Nice Doing Business With You, which will also contain the Ye-produced “Blood Stain” that fans first heard in 2022.

More confusion clouded Yeezyland when his album with Ty Dolla $ignVultures 1, was mysteriously removed from Spotify last week, with no explanation from either the streaming giant or the artists themselves.

The move was met with shock and disappointment among Ye and Ty’s fans, with one writing on social media: “WHAAAT.”

Another said: “I was literally listening to burn otw to the gym and tried listening going back home and it’s gone Wtf.”

Others, however, were less surprised: “This is why I copped the vinyl. I knew ye would eventually start to remove it from platforms. Surprised he hasn’t started to remove his [discography] off the web.”

The removal of Vultures 1 appeared to be a mere glitch, however, as the album was reinstated on Spotify a few hours later.
