Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy isn’t just being called the best Hip Hop album this year by critics, but it is racking up nods as the best album of any genre. After earning the top spot on Time Magazine‘s list, Kanye has also scored the number one slot on Entertainment Weekly’s Best Albums of 2010 list.
Big Boi’s critically acclaimed Sir Lucious Left Foot also made the list, as did Cee Lo Green’s The Lady Killer. Big Boi’s frequent collaborator Janelle Monae also made the list for her latest effort The ArchAndroid.
Lil Wayne didn’t fare so well, his rock-rap hybrid The Rebirth topped their list of worst albums. The full lists are below:

Damn, i feel like im the only person on the planet who listened to Nas & Damian Marley’s Distant Relatives. I mean, dont get me wrong, the album wasnt 10/10 but damn!! THe entire music community has snubbed what in my book is a brilliant piece of positive, uplifting and timeless music. Its a sad day in music as a whole when when listeners rate crap like Teflon Don over Distant Relatives. How the Grammy academy failed to nominate it is beyond me!!!

the distant relatives album is not as great as people hypes it up to be. as an avid listener of both genres nas and marley could’ve went in way deeper content wise and with the production.
the production didn’t represent the cultures and the merging of them as much as it could have.
flat out the album wasn’t that great. what makes it great in actuality is how it came together and what it stood for.
