Kanye West & Kim Kardashian Settle Lawsuit Over Engagement Video

Kanye West and Kim Karadashian sued Chad Hurley, co-founder of YouTube, after seeing his video of West’s 2013 proposal to his now-wife at San Francisco’s AT&T Park.

TMZ reports that the couple has settled the suit out of court and Hurley has agreed to pay $440,000.

Hurley is also the founder of MixBit, a mobile-driven video website, which is where he posted the engagement video. The lawsuit claims he manipulated his way into the venue and signed a confidentiality agreement.

Hurley fought the initial lawsuit in appeals court, saying he was misinformed about signing the agreement. The couple demanded $6,000 in legal fees from Hurley for dragging the case along. This year, the suit was allowed to proceed after Hurley lost in a court of appeals.
