Juice Wrld is still pulling in accomplishments, months after his untimely death.
The iHeart Music Awards announced on Friday (September 4) the late Chicago artist would take home Hip Hop Album of the Year for his 2019 album Death Race For Love.
“Recognizing the incredible music @JuiceWorlddd gave to us during his time on earth,” iHeart shared on Twitter. “Honoring the late rapper with the “Hip-Hop Album Of The Year” award for his masterpiece, “‘Death Race For Love.'” Rest In Peace Juice.”
Juice becomes the fourth artist to win the Best Hip Hop album award, following Drake’s Views in 2017 and Kendrick Lamar’s Damn in 2018. The award was not given out at the 2019 ceremony.
The 2020 iHeart Music Awards were originally scheduled for March 29 but due to COVID-19, the event was initially postponed. On August 24, the event was outright canceled and the winners would be announced through iHeartRadio’s network of stations throughout Labor Day.

Juice’s memory has lived on through his music. In July, his Grade A label posthumously released Legends Never Die. The album set a record for the largest-first week in terms of album sales for a posthumous release, moving over 497,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
Recently, Juice’s “Come & Go” single with Marshmello was tapped by ESPN to be college football’s soundtrack song for the upcoming 2020 season.
“Juice was like no other and was one of the most talented individuals I’ve ever met,” Marshmello said in a press release. “Musically we connected so well and working with him was some of the most memorable moments of my life. ‘Come & Go’ is a track that represents both of us and proves that he lives through his music forever! Legends Never Die.”
