Just when it seemed the hosts of The Joe Budden Podcast had repaired their damaged relationships, things took a sharp left on Wednesday (May 12) when Joe Budden fired co-host Rory during Episode 437: “You Want It To Be One Way.”
Although Budden allegedly took down the episode just one hour after posting it, there are several recordings of the incident floating around on Twitter.
In a clip, Budden is going off about contracts, advertisers and money when he says, “Y’all will not continue to treat me this way. Y’all not going to continue to treat these people this way. Y’all take that fuckin’ dark energy, that arrogance and entitlement somewhere else. I say all of that to say, we gonna do this since Rory feels like he has so many options.
“Somehow he still feels he’s running the show. He still feels like he has choices and options. He feels like he’s entitled to more. Rory, you are in breach of your contract and from this point forward, you are fired! And you’re not welcome back.”
He adds, “Mal, I’m the person that has to say that. The gall of you to think you are deserving the way that I am.”
Joe Budden’s former Everyday Struggle co-host Akademiks also became a trending Twitter topic amid the podcast drama after Budden said there was a “mutual respect” between them.
Akademiks is apparently foaming at the mouth to address the sudden turn of events and tweeted, “See y’all on twitch today at 3 p.m. Classic stream incoming. I promise.”
The Joe Budden Podcast was again a trending Twitter topic in late March when Rory and Mal went “on strike” following an argument. But on April 28, the podcast’s official Twitter account fired off a post plugging another episode, which included a photo of the reunited trio.

But clearly, their reunion didn’t last long. Joe Budden acknowledged the end of The Joe Budden Podcast with a tweet early Wednesday morning, writing, “Helluva run. God bless!”
They’ll be back together when Joe’s bi-polar disorder swings back towards his happy side. Then he will fire his co-hosts again and/or throw fists.

Both sides are going to be different so who really knows what exactly happened. Probably something in the middle. I’m honestly not sure how this podcast is going to get by without Rory and Mal.
If you listen to all of the podcast, you can tell that’s not true. At least not with Rory. Joe preaches equity for the creators, but as soon as the creators ask for it from him, he turns to mr CEO and all that equity goes out the window. Joe is an extra kind of hypocrite.
How are you a creator by being the B mic on someone else’s platform? If you listen to the entire episode he encouraged them to create and they declined. They’ve both said before they really don’t like podcasting so how is Joe lying?

Podcasts are only good for delivering prepackaged kind of information like a newsmagazine format in audio. This version where they’re trying to do shock jock radio is lame as fuck because it’s not real time and edited.
