Joe Budden never shies away from expressing his feelings — ever. And his unfiltered opinion on Logic is no exception.
During a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, the Slaughterhouse vet dubbed the bespectacled artist “easily one of the worst rappers to ever grace a microphone” after listening to French Montana’s “Twisted” single featuring A$AP Rocky, Juicy J and, of course, Logic.
‘I’m going to be honest with you,” he continued. ‘I don’t know what they tell you at Def Jam, I know you sold a lot of records, I know you sell out a whole bunch of tours and I know just how successful you are, I have to be honest — you are horrible, man.”
When Budden got a little pushback from his co-hosts Rory and Mal, he joked that was enough to bring him out of rap retirement.
“He is really bad,” he says. “He is really bad. But why am I the only one? C’mon y’all. You can say it.”
This isn’t the first time (and likely won’t be the last) Budden has criticized Logic. In a Year-End Special for Revolt, he and Charlamagne Tha God both clowned the Maryland-bred artist for how frequently he mentions he’s biracial.

Honestly there are 3 rappers than should never be allowed to be ranked on any list. Tupac, Biggie and Scarface. List are fun but they’re subjective depending on waaay too many factors from generations, regions, true depth of knowledge etc. but I get where you coming from on everything you stated.

Budden has become a bit of a cornball himself lately, but he’s absolutely right. Logic is one of the worst to grab a mic. Always talking about how he’s biracial, raps fast without saying anything worthwhile to make it seem like he’s good, and has released some of the most boring generic albums ever in hip hop. If he’s not sounding like Kendrick, he’s copying either J Cole or the COAT, Drake. And he’s the only rapper to get murdered by the entire Wu Tang on his own shit. This biracial cornball needs to go away forever.

No idea who Lil Mosey is, Blueface is terrible, no doubt. For someone like Logic, who supposed to be a lyrical cat, he just comes off as super corny. He’s basically the suburban rap fan’s idea of a “real” lyrical rapper. Kendrick brings bars and substance without being corny, same for others like Joey Badass or Denzel Curry. Logic is basically all flash and style with fast raps, while barely saying anything. Tech N9ne is someone that’s mastered fast raps and substance together.
