Jim Jones, Fabolous, Maino and Dave East are currently working on a collaborative album titled Fit Lit, which is inspired by their love of the gym.

After the quartet released a track of the same name last year, Maino revealed plans for the joint project during an interview with the Amazing AllHipHop Podcast.

While he didn’t provide a concrete release date, the Brooklyn native said the heavyweight album is taking shape nicely and nearing completion.

“I’m gonna tell you some secretive shit that I’ve never talked about,” Maino teased. “It’s actually an album that’s I’ll say 85 percent done — me, Jim, Fabolous and Dave East.

“Fit Lit — it’s us together because we be working out. That’s our little Fit Lit Club. We got some heat.”

The New York rap titans joined forces in early 2022 for the aforementioned “Fit Lit,” which landed on Jim Jones’ We Set the Trends mixtape with DJ Drama.

The music video — directed by Will G, Shula The Don and Jones — boasts over a million views on YouTube and finds the Fit Lit foursome dropping steely bars inside the Impact Zone Fitness and Sports Performance gym in Norwood, New Jersey.

Jim, Maino, East and Fab are all dressed in their best outfits in the visual while people work out around them. The fits are a nod to the viral clip of Jim and Maino roasting Fabolous for showing up to the gym in a baby blue Paper Planes get-up.

“Bro, nah, don’t take the coat off now,” Jim told Fab in the video. “Yo, look how he come out! We in the gym, bro! Yo bro, why we coming to work out?” Maino came in with a hilarious take on Fab’s fashion sense by asking, “You got all your shit laid out for the week?”

On the solo front, Maino is still churning out the tunes as he delivered his brash “Vibe With Me” single on April 7, which serves as an open invite to any pretty women that want to hang with the Brooklyn MC.
