JAY-Z and Beyoncé’s California real estate record has been broken by Oakley founder James Jannard after he sold his Malibu home for $210 million.

It’s the most expensive sale in state history, surpassing the $200 million Jay and Bey spent on a Malibu estate last year.

Jannard has owned the mansion for over a decade, purchasing it for $75 million in 2012.

With eight bedrooms and 14 bathrooms as well as 9.5 acres in land, including 300 feet of ocean frontage, it is one of the most luxurious homes in the U.S.

Last year, JAY-Z and Beyoncé coughed up a whopping $200 million on a 30,000 square foot Malibu property that was designed by renowned architect Tadao Ando.

The power couple are no strangers to large scale real estate transactions having spent hundreds of millions on property in recent years.

Back in 2017, JAY-Z and Beyoncé purchased their $88 million Bel-Air mansion with a $52.8 million mortgage. According to the Los Angeles Times, that amounts to monthly mortgage payments of $252,075 over 30 years, assuming the interest rate is four percent.

The luxury pad boasts 30,000 square feet of living space, a full-sized basketball court, four outdoor swimming pools, a spa and staff quarters across a two-acre estate.

The couple finally landed their home after continuously getting outbid over the past three years. While on the hunt, they rented out an L.A. mansion for $150,000 a month.

Now, their million-dollar domain trumps David Geffen’s $85 million dollar Malibu purchase earlier this year for the largest purchase in Los Angeles County. It’s the sixth largest sale of a single family home in Los Angeles.

As well as property, the couple have been splurging on luxury vehicles.

In 2021, it was reported they became owners of the world’s most expensive car — Rolls-Royce’s $28 million Boat Tail convertible car.

The $28 million blue-hued Rolls-Royce was reportedly built for the Mediterranean backroads of the French Riviera where The Carter’s regularly visit for vacation.

It also comes with a rear deck that contains a picnic set and a double refrigerator to keep bottles of champagne chilled at six degrees.

There are also two-sided timepieces from Bovet 1822 for each person that can either be worn or used as car clocks.
