Jacquees found himself in handcuffs last week on charges of simple battery and obstructing law enforcement, and now shocking details about his arrest have come to light.

According to WSB-TV, the R&B singer (real name Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax) allegedly bit and choked a female employee at a bar near the Mall of Georgia in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

Police were called to the Local Tap bar around 11:30 p.m. last Thursday (June 24), where the 29-year-old musician was being “loud and boisterous” and fighting with security while drunk, according to the victim and witnesses.

The victim, whose identity has yet to be revealed, claims Jacquees then choked her and bit her on the hand.

After being approached by police officers in a nearby parking lot, the Cash Money signee allegedly refused to cooperate and tried to flee in a Ferrari.

However, his escape was foiled when one of the cops fired a stun gun at him and placed him under arrest.

As previously reported, Jacquees was booked into the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office and was released about seven hours later after posting a cash bond totaling $40.

Word of his arrest spread like wildfire thanks to a viral mugshot showing the self-proclaimed King of R&B sporting a swollen lip and what appeared to be a black eye.

Jacquees has yet to publicly address with brush with the law, although he has been active on social media promoting the international leg of his Sincerely For You Tour, which kicks off in Amsterdam on July 15.

Ironically, the same day as his arrest, he brought awareness to domestic violence against women while plugging the new music video for his song “Woman’s Worth.”

“Nearly 1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse by an intimate partner during their lifetime,” he wrote on Instagram. “It’s not always easy for the victim to leave their abuser for a number of reasons — they love them, they fear them, they have kids with them, a belief they can change them or they simply feel they have no where else to go.”

He added: “If you suspect or know of anyone who is a victim of domestic abuse, please try and help. — I love y’all JACQUEES.”

This isn’t the first time that Jacquees has attempted to flee police in a sports car. Back in 2018, he was arrested in Miami’s South Beach neighborhood after cops said he refused to pull over while driving his black Lamborghini.

Jacquees was instructed to pull over after an officer said he noticed the Decatur native wasn’t wearing his seatbelt.

“The defendant did not obey my command and instead kept driving the vehicle at a low rate of speed with heavy traffic still northbound on Ocean Drive,” the arresting officer wrote in his report.

“He was then asked again to pull over and to provide me with his driver’s license. The defendant once again refused to obey a lawful command from this officer.”

After eventually pulling over, Jacquees was asked to move to the sidewalk but police said he refused. Subsequently, large crowds of onlookers gathered and the arresting officer called for backup.

The singer was later taken into custody and charged with failure to obey an officer and disorderly conduct.
