J. Cole Announces “Born Sinner” Album Release Date

North Carolina’s J. Cole has revealed details about his next album. The Roc Nation emcee has announced that Born Sinner will be released on January 28.

The announcement was made on Twitter and U-stream. The clip shown by Cole was one featuring a child holding up signs in a church. Those signs eventually revealed details of the album’s release. This coincided with Cole’s tweets, announcing Born Sinner as the title.

Born Sinner will be the follow-up to Cole’s first album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, which was released in September of 2011.

      1. As much as this is gonna be controversial, all three, the rest of Black Hippy, Big KRIT, A$AP etc. are the future of hip-hop…

    4. Its crazy I can feel the soul in this video just from the beat and the visual. J.cole a living legand this album gone change the game

    5. Jay Electronica >>>>>> J.Cole

      Jay Electronica >>>>>> Kendrick Lamar

Fuck any white teenage hiphop fan who disagrees

    6. I’m calling it now: Based on the title “Born Sinner”, I’m gonna assume that on this album, J. Cole is gonna try to show he has more edge and is not just a former college kid that happens to be good at rapping. While he’s definitely one of the most talented young lyricists to come into the game, “Cole World: The Sideline Story” didn’t have a lot of replay value for me because it just got boring and kinda bland after a while. Expect more ig’nant shit on this album

      1. SET OF HORNS AND A HALO.

THAT WAS HIS THEME INITIALLY. PROBLEM IS HIS 1ST ALBUM FAILED TO REFLECT THAT ON SOME TRACKS AND IT SUFFERED FROM IT.

BORN SINNER LOOKS LIKE COLE IS GOING BACK TO HIS ESSENCE.

    7. Oh Yeah.. Malone is back from the desert dry crevices of your moms sugarwalls to the end of middle earth and back. Boy did I have a ball while I was gone. I fucked a few people’s grandmothers popped some E-pills at a few bar mitzvahs I wasn’t invited to but I came back because I love you all very much and now nothing is going to separate me from you all again. I am here to reign and so are you…

      1. Can’t believe nobody mentioned that “Born sinner / Opposite of the winner” line, I bet there will be a track named after the LP title which samples this on the hook.

        So add to the list:

        J. Cole – Born Sinner (Prod. by J. Cole)

Sample credits: Notorious B.I.G. – Juicy

    9. I like the video & the tune to go with it, but “Born Sinner” that sounds like a mixtape title…how about “Angels & Demons” or “Two horns & A Halo”

    10. What about the EP, the joint project with Kendrick? Just outta nowhere release date for lp no singles no promo and no updates on the other two projects.

      1. Not every artist has the same routine to releasing projects..
He’s at Roc anyway, he has a ton of control & can do what he wants..
