After arriving late to a benefit concert in Colorado Springs, DMX [click to read], who was slated to headline the show, was thwarted from performing, resulting in a physical altercation between the rapper, his entourage, security and bystanders.

The New York emcee was expected to perform Friday in support of American Charities, Inc, a Colorado based non-profit corporation that assists families with food and clothing. According to organizers, X was scheduled to be at Phil Long Expo Center no later than 9:30 that evening. By 11:00, when DMX finally arrived at the venue, fans had already been informed that the show was cancelled.

Despite security denying the artist from hitting the stage, he proceeded to make his way through the blockade, provoking authorities to jump in. Soon thereafter, his entourage and concert attendees joined in on the ruckus, causing an all out brawl that was caught on video. X, who is no stranger to controversey [click to read], eventually entered the stage to make his presence known to fans, but was still unable to perform.

Unconfirmed reports say that American Charities along with Soulclay Entertainment Group, who sponsored the benefit, had given X half of the money up front, and that the rapper was allegedly denied from receiving the other 50% because he arrived considerably late and did not perform. However, rumors are circulating thatthe organization was unable to fund the performance and that is why the show was cancelled.

There is no word as to if anyone was injured during the altercation, but everyone involved is presumed to be fine.
