Tallahassee duo A-Alikes, who put out their mixtape The Hustler And The Hunter Pt. 3 [click to listen] earlier this week, are set to release their sophomore album Us Against Them in the fall.

As a double disc album, A-Alikes will share the microphone with a handful of their underground brethren, including Metaphysic, Afayah, and N.I.M.R.O.D. The first single, “Sirens In The Distance” featuring Mos Def [click to listen], has recently been released.

In other news, east coast underground emcee Apathy [click to read] has plans to drop his first solo album in over three year with Wanna Snuggle?

Apathy’s last album, which also served as his debut disc, was 2006’s Eastern Philosophy [click to read].Due out in stores October 6, Wanna Snuggle? will feature artists from his Demigodz and Army Of The Pharaohs [click to read] crews, along with collaborations with J-Live [click to read] and Phonte [click to listen]. With the bulk of the production for Wanna Snuggle? featuring Apathy behind the boards, the Connecticut-native has a handful of contributing beats as well, such as Mike Shinoda’s (of Linkin Park) “Shoot First,” featuring Cypress Hill’s B-Real [click to read].
